Hello guys,

I don’t know if any of you felt that the staff animation for the Druid specialization doesn’t really fit with the Druid theme.
What I mean is, that for example Druid’s (and Thief’s) Staff idle is just basically a Hammer idle.
Druid staff skill animations are fully recycled, there is no new animation at all, at least the thief got some sweeping moves and even a flashy jump attack.
Would it be possible to give new weapon stances to the new specializations? Maybe not at release, but in a future update. And introduce some new animations to poor druids, surely they can handle those staves better

TLDR.: Please Anet, introduce at least a dash of cool-factor to the druid, because playing it feels really underwhelming now.

They should at least change the idle animation to the same as the Elementalist staff idle animation (as Druids use the staff for casting, not for melee like the Daredevil, so holding it as if you are about to hit someone with it is a little strange for the Druid).

I agree with ranged idle animation that makes sense for a ranged weapon. Bashing heads is not something a Druid will do.

The agree, the animations for the Druid staff need some love.

the staff animations should be the standard staff animations used for ele/necro/mesmer/guard etc
if they’re holding it like a hammer for the idle then it could be a bug,

also the reason thieves got new animations is because they’re using it in a new way (as a melee weapon) the druid is just casting spells so they should have the standard spell casting animations
