Seriously though: Probably jungle first Revenant second OR both simultaneously if the final version of the class looks fun enough.

I can’t imagine that people who have pc and internet can’t afford an expansion. I simply can’t…

Anyway, that’s a tough question: I think I will first start a revenant and from time to time switch to one of my other classes (usually Guardian, Warrior, Ranger, Thief).

20 tomes still missing for an instant 80 Revenant but I guess I still can get enough before the HoT. I just started to farm some ascended materials to gear it (weapons at least…). I have enough Karma and badges to sort out the armour problem. Also I have some ascended trinkets/accessories hidden in my bank (condi damage mostly but who cares…).

10 minutes after I geared my Rev I gonna head into the Jungle and terrorise everybody with the lack of my skill to play the profession :P

This is my plan

And Garambola is right… If somebody cannot give up a bottle of coke every week to buy the HoT….? I don’t know what to say…

I have a level 20 scroll, 60 tomes and a bunch of skill points in my inventory. I’m getting the time gated materials crafted now for the ascended weapons and I’m planning to get temple armor for the first set at least. I’ve got the commendations for the accessories and hopefully enough laurels for the rest.

I plan to have my Revenant fully set up in the least amount of time I can manage.

It’s easy enough to get a full set of exotic. Between WvW, karma armor, and throwing some gold on the TP getting fully suited in exotics should happen day one.

And that’s not accounting for account-bound ascended (thanks again, ArenaNet!). Strip down your other characters and you’re good to go.

Ill probably let the Revenant onslaught die down first, and see what people say about it. It actually seems like a class I want to play even if it wasn’t the new class, prolly will roll one sooner or later.

That and I really want to get down to exploring and earning masteries, so I’ll probably dive into Maguuma first. That virgin journey where no one can claim some superiority of “how to do thing properly” is the most fun in an MMo for me.

i’m going into the new xpac locations first thing, and probably going to be focusing on specializations and masteries. I have very little interest in the revenant and it’s class mechanic outside of fancy new skills (which specializations will hopefully offer) so i’m probably not even going to make one, especially if they don’t include an extra character slot. I’ll be trying out the specialisation on my Guardian first and exploring the new content. After a few days I’ll probably tome a revenant to 80 to try out. My focus won’t be on a revenant though, not until the profession as a whole is balanced after launch. I want a more stable idea of what I’d be investing time into – the new profession might be pretty weak in an area I play a lot and don’t want to waste my time if thats the case

I, for one, will simply take my Necro and go visit that jungle. And that Necro just happens to be a Sylvari, too, so if there really are unique tidbits of dialogue for them (mostly “we hate you all” and “you kitten plants can’t be trusted” I’d imagine), I’ll get to see them. Then I’ll try to seek out the specialization and have fun playing switcharoo between that and Necro. And then I’ll propably start a Revenant… which might go the same way all other classes went I treid out : Abandoned below lvl 20. Or, actually not cause i have a scroll. And propably a lot of tomes for finishing dungeon-paths to get weaponcrates and the high-cost-parts of the armor, so i have my Necro equipped to brave the jungle.
