I’m quite annoyed that these $50 threads overshadowed the current spot light of this week: Guild Hall.

The annoyance could have not only been stopped, it could have been prevented over 24 hours ago. This is a direct result of a community outcry and having it completely ignored.

This should have been an exciting moment in GW2 history, its going to be memorable, but for all the wrong reasons because of the lack of communication.

Vets are not owed anything. they paid for the core game and enjoyed it or not. If you feel that you need more info to pre-purchase then don’t.

If you have no faith in the title then don’t buy it. You can wait till it comes out and watch lets plays and review.

While I agree to those who think the ANet marketing department does an awful job lately, it’s way less bad than some of you (some of which have left this game a long time ago anyways, so they are only here to create bad mood) make it look like.

It’s summer. Leave the house, enjoy the sun, take a walk, relax. It is NOT betrayal. It’s business. Like it or don’t, that’s ok, but stop behaving like someone has slaughtered your spouse.

You could say that with factions and nightfall you at least had some sorting of clue of what you are buying though. And with the way Arenanet changes every single aspect of the game, it is a bit of a gamble on what you actually are paying for. Especially for a preorder, you would expect some sort of preorder bonus. But there is none. Except for new players or when you pay more. Where the only deal that is actually a deal is when you throw alot of money over the counter.

Though I’m sure to buy one of the versions. I do feel like they are trying to cash in more than they are keen on sweetening the deal. Hence I really don’t feel they’re selling it very well.

And 9 class expansions, a new class, new wvw map, new pvp map, a new storyline, new progression, craftable precursors, new armour and weapon skins, unrevealed content as well as likely another several years of continued content development on top of all the features at-launch.

I take pride in my trust of Anet, as a customer of theirs since GW1, to deliver high quality content to the best of their ability.

Consumer bias, he won’t change his mind and will continue to blindly defend his purchase in an attempt to block out the naysayers whose assertions actually hold weight.

This entire fiasco could have been avoided, but the marketing committee decided to play a game of russian roulette with their game. What should have been a momentous announcement showered with praise (as per the original pre-purchase of the now “free” GW2) has turned into a PR disaster with the ability to make or break the companies rep.

They should have released a version without the core game for those that have it, they should also have included a character slot in the base package, and the gems package is a cinical marketing ploy to get a bit more cash by making it the most attractive.

I’m proud of my purchase. Seeing as my original purchase of this game has giving me over 7k hours of enjoyment.

At HoT launch there will be no real gameplay, it’ll be buggy and crashing as the company always underestimates the servers needed, the login server will suddenly lose all stability and there will be uproar on the facebook page with people wanting refunds until the 6th maybe 7th day in which it calms down and becomes playable.

If you willing to wait few years for your legendary weapon and you count it as + then i dont have anything else to say. Hf paying for unfinished game, meanwhile i will move somewhere that actually supports dx12. Dx9 in 2016 feels like a cheap korean game for me, except its far from cheap.
