I’ve already pre-purchased Standard Edition but I would like to upgrade to Ultimate. The webste is asking me to pay the full price again. How can I order the Ultimate edition without repaying for the standard one?

You can´t upgrade to ultimate as stated in the description

If I purchase the Standard or Deluxe editions of Heart of Thorns will I be able to upgrade to Deluxe or Ultimate later?

Starting on June 23, 2015, you will be able to upgrade to Deluxe in the gem store, but the only way to receive the Ultimate edition is to buy it from buy.guildwars2.com or in-game.

You can, however, open a ticket (using the ‘Support’ link above/below) with the Billing CS Team, and ask if they will refund your initial purchase to allow you to re-purchase the Ultimate Edition. I believe they have accommodated some purchasers in this way, previously.

Another reason you can’t upgrade to the ultimate edition is because the only extra benefit it offers are gems at a discounted price. If an upgrade like that were available through the Black Lion Trading Post, would it make much sense to buy an upgrade that is giving you gems, by paying with gems?
