No, its going to be 7.65 gb, so you should be OK.

Although of course between now and when its finally finished being programmed, designed and released, it may well change (higher or lower).

I have zero proof of this but I know someone who knows a guy, who walks another dudes dog, who over heard two people talking, and they said they heard someone tell someone eps that they knew someone who knows someone that said it will be 1TB.

Not even Anet knows the size currently as the release date is probably months ahead and the betas will eventually lead to some changes most probably.

I think i’m a bit out of the loop here because i’m sure i missed developer interviews or maybe other forum discussions but i could use some clarification on the size of this expansion. I’ve seen a lot of comments that imply that the expansion is going to be something like a measly 3-5 zones with maybe some new combat encounters, but basically smaller than one would expect from an expansion? I’m just wondering where this opinion and ideas are based off because every comparison i’ve seen (although its only a few) said the expansion would be akin to EotN (as opposed to factions or nightfall).

I mean if that’s the case, EotN wasn’t exactly tiny. I’m really just wondering where these opinions are coming from that the expansion is going to be super overwhelming. If possible, could anyone provide links and that kind of stuff?

Its all guesses we have no information on how big the expansion will be….
Other that each map will have 3 biomes/layers

So i often see stated that there are two pve zones confirmed with 3 layers a pop. the different biomes are stated to be “zone” sized in their own right, but i assume they have some dead space so let’s say that we have announced 5 zones of content right now.

I am holding out for pre-purchase until the remaining elite specs are announced, the remaining zones previewed, and the challenging group content detailed. I think it is practical to do the same. Though if the current specializations and guild halls are any indication, i think pre-purchasing will not lead to disappointment.

Its potentially going to be anywhere between 1-12 months in size, maybe longer. Until we try it it is hard to say, but judging by the stuff they have revealed so far, it should contain enough things to do to keep most of us busy for a good while.

Good! These are what i was hoping for. I haven’t followed dev releases and previews enough. The biomes idea sounds really interesting too!
