so i plan on preordering heart of thorns but my sister has been begging to play this game i was curious if i would be able to give her the copy of the base game that comes with the prepurchase of heart of thorns saying i already own it

Unfortunately, that is not possible.

When you pre-purchase Heart of Thorns, you are given a single code; you can either apply that to an existing account and it will be upgraded to the expansion, or use it to create a new account which will have access to the core game and the expansion.

There is no possibility to give the “core game” to someone else as you will only get the single code.

not only that but from the sounds of it . when it does come out there will be no more disk,s to buy at all . as you only get a download to get the game . no matter who you buying it from
