Does Braham like Ham?
Anything that promotes the deliciousness of ham is alright in my book!
Forget Rox, his home town being enslaved and all that other stuff! Bro-ham need his Ham!
Sorrow’s Furnace
Kabal of the Righteous [Seed]
Since Braham is a Norn you’d expect that he’d do most of his eating in Hoelbrak so not sure how a ham shortage in krytra would impact him too much.
… Of course I must admit I don’t see too many farms in the Shiverpeaks (in fact what does the Norn diet exist of? Other than mead) so I’d imagine they rely heavily on imports. So that would support the initial argument.
However if a large portion of their food comes from abroad what do they export? They have to export something to cover the costs of the imports. Mead? I know they’ve got plenty of Mead. Paradoxically since they don’t remember seeing too many bees. In fact Shiverpeaks doesn’t seem to have any seasons other than winter so there goes bee keeping and mass farming.
So I guess if he likes the ham it’s probably wild boar (does wild boar still count as ham?), and his access to it would be limited.
he’s a norn, he doesn’t need a reason to go on an adventure.
also, he’s a norn, of course he likes ham.
I do not like green eggs and ham,
I do not like them Braham I am.

they don’t farm. they hunt. they have their homesteads as a point of return, but most of the time they’re just nomadic hunter gatherers. they’re too individual to resort to importing, though a clever merchant might get some money by selling his products to individuals.
And there we were, brave heroes from all over Tyria. We had come a long way and faced many dangers. We were no stranger to the battlefield. And now we were to face our greatest challenge yet, our final battle…
We stood before the large horde of foes, a massive army of different races. Among the were twisted mechanical creatures, made my the mad sylvari who led them. Above the army was a large towering spacecraft with a gigantic drill. We could hear the sound of drilling over the battlecries. Whe did not know what it’s purpose was, but the scent of evil was coming from beneath the earth…
A feeling of fear overcame me. I looked towards our leader: a young norn, son of Eir Stegalkin. For a brief moment he looked back at me. He nodded and whispered: “for the ham…” He raised his weapon and started charging towards the battlefield, all the heroes of Tyria rallying behind him. As we ran towards our fate, we cried…
“FOR THE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!”
Kuh-ham!
Of course Braham likes ham.
But he likes bacon even more.
Im so glad we got dev confirmation of this. Not being sarcastic…. I love braham and im glad he likes ham.

Scarlets plot will lead to a new profession: Meatzerker!
Only the one true warrior who wields the legendary Caladhog can lay claim to that title!
That new Elite skill ‘Ham-Fisted’ is totally OP.
But Axe skill #3, ‘Pork-Choppah’ needs some work. The animation goes crazy on my Asura.

“From all the characters, Braham has the least reason to mess with Scarlett from a character point of view.”
Molten troops raided his homestead and killed his friends. That seems like the most motivation of any of the characters to me.
No, no, no, you’re all asking the wrong question. It’s not about whether he likes Ham or not. It’s about how he likes his ham prepared! Smoked? Cured? I won’t feel like I know this character until more details are revealed!
Warning incoming ham . . .
I’m disappointed in all of you.
Not one of you has mentioned the deadly, unbeatable combination that is spoken only in hushed, fearful whispers in Guild Wars mythology – the all-mighty, devastating, all-consuming Hamstorm!
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.

You have no concept of the power of ham!
Warning: Link to other video game footage.
Now, I’d have to admit that is an impressive ham-mer, but is still pales in comparison to the inescapable destruction that is wrought by Hamstorm.

Braham grew up in Craigstead, that’s like a five minute walk from Butcher’s Block, the home of Tyria’s greatest celebration of meat. Kasmeer’s father took her to Dragonbash, maybe Braham’s father took him to Meatoberfest to enjoy a nice glazed ham, a delicacy less common in the Shiverpeaks? Why isn’t the Living Story asking the important questions like these?
Forget the axe, next update Braham will be a Hambow warrior inspiring us to take a new look at our trait lines and weapon choices!

if we get a living story reference to this thread, we know who to blame.
…Matthew. we blame Matthew Medina.

Wow, didnt expect you to spoil us about that facing its relevance in the coming patches, but at least we have certainty now.
Thank you, Matthew & Scott.

Wouldnt be too far fetched to say that Braham may be a Hamstorm Warrior himself. (Guardians using Flames and Swords, It would be awesome seeing him cripple and then Ascalon-Ghost-Firestorm somebody)
Scott even included the twist, that he likes bacon even more. Is it a hint about a Bacon Dragon that hides under Lions Arch? Think about it, the Lion Guard on Claw Island have used Signal-bacons all along..

I think the majority of their food comes from hunting or foraging. Also, this.

Oh man, I really hope in 4 months+ time, we forget about this thread, and we’re talking to Braham and he casually mentions he loves ham.
I wonder if Rox likes green eggs?
Dear lord, what have I done?
You have given us Ham and Braham liking ham.
Now you must complete this in the most logical way possible:
On April Fool’s you give away meat maces, Braham must wield one for a while.

So, linguistically, I’m going to propose that the prefix “Bra-” signifies “one who likes.”

That would make me Brapizza. Holy cats! You’ve just worked out my new NPC naming scheme!
So this is how Guild Wars dies, with thunderous laughter over ham jokes . . .
A fantasy of sci-fi cyborg implants grafted into the desiccated flesh of Guild Wars’ corpse.
Now the next question is: Why doesn’t Braham use a hammer?

I see, your too are a friend of GW1 lore? See that Ham and bacon are woven deeply into the history of GW. Its explicitly mentioned that Prince Bokka ate a lot of ham.
And in Kryta, quality Hogs almost went extinct at a Point (Partially because of the production of bacon) and later grew in numbers. (Probably, Dirk could buy another one to breed) This btw is still a mystery to the Community.

Now the next question is: Why doesn’t Braham use a hammer?
because NPCs haven’t figured out they can carry two sets, and honestly i prefer the free heals and regen :P
Braham isn’t actually a guardian, he’s secretly a Sandwichmancer, but doesn’t want to be teased for using Hamstorm.

we all know the sandwichmancer is reserved for the secret story character that represents colin in-game.

You mean Kolijn Johansson in Hoelbrak? (…who also has several typos in his dialogue that have not been fixed despite being reported many, many times since release)

those aren’t typos, that’s how colin talks.
By the Spirits of the Wild he will have Haaaaaam!
With apologies and love to Ponyo and Nostalgia Critic.
Kazmeers been spending too much time with Braham as well. She says Kaz-ham (or something like that) in LA (I think only after the defeat wave/% events of the Toxic Alliance right there in the corner of the path).
Please give us a keyring…

I haven’t heard her say anything along those lines, but if she did, I’d imagine it’d be “alakazam”, or a variation on it.
What spec would Braham like to play the most if he was a Warrior?
