Tequatl’s power boost coming from Zhaitan’s dead body raises some questions. Like for example, can Tequatl become the next Death dragon? I don’t really think it was confirmed that we killed him so maybe whenever we repel him, he goes back to absorb Zhaitan’s body. I’d like to maybe see him take on a big boss role in maybe a future raid as Teqaitan (working title). Tequatl has always been an interesting boss cause he’s the only one they featured a whole update on. If Teq is capable of this, whos to say maybe the Shatterer or Claw of Jormag doing that as well?

I think lore wise the claw of jormag is definitely dead.

As is tequatl (destinys edge 2.0 is well known for having helped kill him).

I think the shatterer isn’t fully dead though. Could be wrong.

It’s not confirmed that Tequatl’s power boost was due to Zhaitan’s death. That’s merely player speculation based off of the NPC-mentioned potential possibility of what Glint could have accomplished.

It’s not entirely clear Tequatl is dead, but Rox certainly claims he is – and took part of his tail (the piece that we see sundered when he’s beaten).

The Shatterer dies fully each time, as we can see its body explode when it flies off, but a new one replaces it.

The Claw of Jormag’s fate is unclear when we beat it back – like Tequatl, it just flails into the water. However, like The Shatterer there are known many Claws of Jormag (whereas for Zhaitan’s dragons, they’re all named uniquely).

As far as we know there is a lore connection to his new power, but we dont know what it is.

As you mentioned, it could be some ED-power up after Zaithans dead.
Another theory, simply to the fact that it happened within season 1 of the LS, which is the start of Mordremoth, it could be linked there, or something within it (aka, new dragon enegry host body).
