Q:
After Scarlet
The hints gathered over the last few weeks suggest we are going to go back to the Elder Dragons, at least for one season.
The mysterious contraptions all over the map look fiery and are reminiscent of thumpers, machinery that send shockwaves into the earth (and may have to do with the ley lines of tyria).
The 2013 restrospective ended with the words “[The finale] will rock Tyria to the core.”
The new metronome talks about fire and destruction as a way for change to happen in the world.
So all of this leads pretty obviously to primordus as our next big enemy. To what end Scarlet wants to awaken primordus or do whatever to him, well, I guess we’ll see that in the next 4 releases!
Would be nice to fight Primordus, but a new map would be nice too, like Ring of Fire, a kinda perfect map to fight him and his champions.
Can you please post your source for the metronome and other things?

“The answers to all of these questions, and one epic finale that will rock Tyria to its very core, await you in 2014.”

The metronome (an actual one) was sent to the gamerzines.com offices and does have a poem etched into it, similar to the poem Scarlet wrote before (“Tick, tock, etc…”).

I’m not sure why, but I do think there will be new maps released during this story arc. It#s just a gut feeling but with primordus being underground and all, we probably will go down into the depths.
Also, there might just be additions to current maps, like deep caverns opening up and stuff.
I don’t think the Fire island chain would be a good idea, since it’s all surrounded by water, but in the climax of this arc, Primordus could have it errupt in a giant vulcano, growing the island significantly.
Also bear in mind: Primordus can be, in fact he is literally everywhere! Well, not he himself, but because he is the “magma-underground-Dragon” his area of influence is theoretically all of Tyria. So, pretty much everywhere is fair game for new zones, or just impact on current ones.
Actually, the location of Primordus was near the asuran Central Transfer Chamber, which was visible on the GW1 map as being a bit north of Yak’s Bend in the Shiverpeaks, so that would place it now on the border between the Shiverpeaks and what is now Charr Homelands. And even though he awakened, I don’t think a several-hundred-meters long dragon went tunneling about, so he should still be there.

It’s not the first time an Elder Dragon would have moved though.
Kralkatorrik moved hundreds of miles south and left the Brand in his wake. Nothing is stopping a newly stimulated Primordus to move about a bit.
And I’d rather have an epic volcano eruption bossfight than a dragon in a lava cave.
According to what we know, Primordus has not moved on the surface thus far. Then again, they could make an epic event out of his bursting out of the ground…
Primordus was the first Elder Dragon to awake and he’s the most dangerous one, so i doubt he would be the next after Zhaitan. The next will definitely be Kralkatorrik or the one who’s about to awake very soon in Maguma called Mordremoth, we even fought one of his champions during the Sylvari introduction, so that means we will maybe get a new world boss.
@Amineo NinjaChris told something about fire and destruction, so dunno how the jungle dragon can do this. Anyway, i wouldn’t be surprised to fight a stronger dragon, since Zaithan, even he was a storyline elder dragon, was one of the strongest, i mean he caused more chaos than any other dragons, except for Primordus. Anyway, as long there is an elder dragon and/or a new map with/without new champions of the elder dragons, it’s good.
imo, kralky will be the 2nd till last we will fight, bubbles being last, they both give us ‘access’ to a continent after we kill them, so if elona and cantha are going to happen, it’ll be after those dragons, i think the most likely order will be: mordremoth/jormag, primordius, kralkatorrik (elona?), Bubbles, (cantha?)
