Guild Wars 2

I just started exploring Dry Top for Dragons Reach part 1, but I have not done any other living world this season. Is it impossible to get out of the Valley without the story line? People in chat seemed to suggest it. I hope I am wrong, or this is really broken if I cant keep going without a story mode I now have to pay for.

Yes, you can go anywhere on the map without having played through the story instances.

I just want to say that I didn’t FIND how to get to the Northern part of the map until I played the story instance. Those instances show you directly where to go. Why would you not want to play them

Nah, you’re not stopped at all. I thought I was at one point (once I found out where the entrance was to the next part, I was like “oh…”).

If you’re stuck in prospect valley, go over to the little village area with all the dilapidated-looking houses. If you’re boost-speeding across the quicksand on the leftmost end, there will be a house on your left, about 2-3 houses down from where you enter that area.

It should be somewhat apparent (as long as there is no event in that area, one of the houses on the side there will be open). You then take a passage in the back of it that leads underground and up into the Restoration waypoint area. From there, it’s pretty straightforward getting to Vine Bridge waypoint (I think there’s more or less one main path).

If you didn’t log in during the new episode period, you have to pay to access the old episodes.
