I just wanted to know if someone else seemed to have the same issue as me and a friend of mine. We have been hunting the Carapace Armor Boxes a bit along with Bandit Crests for 4 weeks now.

We got regular steady drops, but i have only gotten 4 Carapace Shoulder Boxes and not a single other piece (fe: glove, legs, boots). My friend on the other hand had 5 drops of Carapace Glove Box and AGAIN no other type of carapace box drop. From what i thought, this should be a random drop. But this many boxes always being the same for a certain account doesn’t seem “random” anymore.

It seems more like the first Carapace Armor Box that drops for you, kind of “fixes” the type and you keep getting only these types.

So anyone else had the same thing?
Or can people confirm they actually had 2 different types of drops?

Not sure if this is helpful, but 3 drops, all shoulders. One from a boss, two from chests.

I’d throw my input into the mix, but I have yet to loot a single Carapace Armor box period.

That said, the first 2 weeks shoulders were the only things you could get anyway, and even during the last patch there were only gloves or shoulders. Pants and boots were only added yesterday, and I doubt you’ve gotten 4 drops within a day (if you have, I hate you :p). Its not at all impossible for a 50/50 chance to come up 3-4 times with the same result.

Indeed Electro. That’s what i had been thinking as well in the past weeks. Extreme bizarre bad luck.
I got my first box 2 weeks ago. The first or second day the gloves came out. So was indeed a 50% chance. My friend and I were laughing it off as bad luck untill yesterday. As the drop chance should now be 25% with both the boots and leggings in the running.

We both had another drop yesterday evening. Me with a labyrinth run early evening and my friend off a champion around midnight. ….. But it was again shoulders for me and gloves for him. I would have again written it off as bad luck had it only been me. But a similar thing is happening to my mate….. So we start to find it hard to believe.

Ps Sorry to hear you guys have low drop rates. We play around 2hours a day on average and get around a box per week.

I’ve had three glove boxes, and one shoulder box, but that was before the gloves were added.

I looted my first armor box today. It was shoulders.

0 armor boxes of any kind so far. :P I don’t regret my 1000 Crest purchase of the Glove Box as a result.

I have had 1 glove box drop a week ago and 2 boot boxes in the last two days.

Had a glove box almost two weeks ago, and a boot box last night.

All of my drops have come from bandit chests – 2 shoulders, 1 boot.

Some guy on reddit had 5 or 6 boots boxes drop, and nothing else.

I had 3 gloves boxes.

I should probably stop spending nightmare keys until this is answered…

Different things drop from different stuff as far as I know. At least that’s how I’ve gotten my stuff (everything dropped, not bought).

Shoulders: You can get them for completing events in SW, doing story with another char, and bandit chests.

Gloves: You can only get it from the Big Nightmare chest (got like 4 already, or 5?)

Boots: Only drops from Bandit lost chests.

Leggings: Only from completing story with other chars.

At least that’s how I got them, and that’s what the patch notes say.

You guys are lucky I’ve still yet to have any armor box drop

I got two boot boxes one right after another. RNG is RNG.

There’s nothing so frustrating as getting a box for something you already have 3 of though.

Maybe let us sell boxes for 250 badges? The badge merchant shouldn’t say ‘no’ to a 300% markup!

Well, I got my very first Armor Box from the Greater Nightmare Chest over the weekend. Unfortunately, it was Gloves. I don’t know if other types of boxes can drop from the Chest.

I got 3x boots, and finally now 1x gloves. At first I thought it seemed the same also, but now it doenst, we’ll see how it progresses I guess.

I seriously doubt that or anything similar would be implemented.

Still, these are lvl 80 armor and rare. Salvage it for some ecto.

I got 2 glove boxes after I had already bought all 3 and I have opened around 150 bandit chests and no boots.

I’ve had 1 glove box and 7 boot boxes.

Would be nice to be able to exchange boxes we don’t need for bandit crests – considering I have all 3 now and I don’t need the extras. Even 100 badges each would be cool

I’ve had 2 gloves, 2 boots, and 1 shoulders box drop all in the last few days.

Really, getting 4 or 5 boxes of the same armor in a row isn’t that unlikely, and odds are a few players would have that happen. It’s just bad luck, not a bug.
