Hints about S2?
Towards end of this festival we’d be getting some clues, they said in interviews.
Evidence, Mike Zadorojny in Massively interview:
“Don’t worry; by the end of the festival, you’ll hear more about Season 2.”

Talking with Destiny’s Edge 2.0 tells you that Marjory will be following up on the dragon roar everyone heard. That’s all I’ve seen so far though.
The Zephyrite artifacts are tempting, but I’m gonna say they’re all flavor.
Shall we predict a ticked off dragon shows up to one of the events blows some things up then flys back to maguuma?
Which would actually sync up the china severs with us right after the event
(not being serious now)
Seeing as Anet gets so much rage today over taking away stuff people like in the game, let’s see if Season 2 starts with Mordremoth taking a sweep and wiping out the Zephyrites’ airships which means we’ll never return to Labyrinthine Cliffs again… ;P

The ones that cause vets or champs to spawn? Those were there last time.
Things I’ve noted that’s different from the previous time the content was around:
- Canach got his billet bought by a female human noble-like person.
- The Biconics (not just Marjory but Braham and Rox too, haven’t found the ones in Labyrinthine Cliffs yet) are talking about going after the “entity” that drove Scarlet mad.
- I noticed a new Zephyrite ship that in the cinematic when you first go to the top has a door open (that closes during said cinematic) with a golden shine behind it.
- Trader Aerin seems to be joining – or trying to join – the Zephyrites (he’s jumping around the ship talking about what good he’d bring to them).
- The Watchknights have been reworked to prevent external hijacking again, hinting at their full-time return.
- Zephyrites mention the previous place they went to is where all the decorations came from, but I wouldn’t take this as a hint for Season 2 as it’s obviously a nod to China release, but does heavily imply about Cantha’s state: they mentioned it was very cultured and with colorful ports.
All those artifacts are from the previous release. Not new. Look for new things.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Taimi and I think some other NPCs have been talking about peculiarities with whatever the Zephyrites are bringing on board as cargo, having “readings” from Taimi’s little asuran tech.
And there are other npcs talking about being nervous, having attracted too much attention this time, etc etc. Plus, the new “guild” we belong to with Marjory, Braham, etc, talking about investigating that roar…
Yes, I think the hints are already starting. And if we are going after a new elder dragon, I’ll be very pleased… and if not, very irritated.
There was a Norn teaching some children about their history, mentioning dragons, a hero and Glint.
Sadly i did not hear everything and had no time to wait for it to repeat.
Was it there last time?
Location: On the Zephyrite ship in the back.
Yeah that was there last year, it talks about glint and destiny’s edge, and elder dragons being forces of nature. Something I find strange this year is the fact that they keep mentioning the Zephyrites are being tight lipped about there next destination and it is odd since even if they didn’t say it last time they were here, no one was this concerned.

Where’d you hear the bit about Canach? I haven’t heard or found anything like that and I’d be interested in check it out.
I heard he’s at Vigil Keep. There’s a thread on it in the lore forum.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
This is kind of spoilerish but not really as I am not going to give precise details. So far in the patch this is what I have gathered that has not really been posted about here yet:
There’s two new named Lionguard NPCs patrolling around the ruined city that give you a little bit of insight into how attitudes to the Sylvari are changing, and how LA might change. The asura represents old LA, and the new human recruit represents what might be. They spawn at Lionguard HQ, and walk around their patrol route which returns them to HQ in the end. Deffo worth taking the time to walk alongside them.
Taimi’s ruminations on the Zephyrites, and the fact that they won’t let her bring her golem on board the ship as his magic will “interfere with the crystals” suggest that the Sanctum is taking some pretty serious juju on board for wherever it’s headed next.
Trader Owen’s npc dialogue implies that the sanctum is going much further away than it did last time, and soon.
Evon Gnashblade’s standing has improved as a result of the conflict, you can talk to him to find out more, or overhear various merchants scattered throughout the city complaining that he is in the process of driving them out of business.
A scratch has taken over the Hooligan’s Cave. Probably not significant to anything but will be used as some sort of comic relief I imagine.
Its not spoilers its more like gathering the clues to the puzzle if anyone else happens to find something dont be afraid to post it considering anet wont :P
I noticed several new characters that seem to have important dialogue:
Carden: Guy seems desperate to sell something and nobody is buying it from him.
Parker Cole: On the run from the Vigil, possibly a deserter.
Jess: A young boy (I suspect an LA survivor) who has followed Parker.
Trader Aerin: This guy seems ‘very’ eager to be involved with the Zephyrites, a Sylvari.
I don’t know if there are any other new potential long term LS chars but Carden, Parker and Jess definitely seem like chars we will see more than once.
Aerin might possibly appear in more festive things given his cheery persona.
Either way, it seems we have some teasers for new char potential in LS:S2.
@CaptainVanguard: Carden’s dialogue was there during the Bazaar, I think. Parker Cole and Jess I think as well. Aerin’s different this time though. Previously he was tide to Trader Owen’s events and was trying to sell his wares before joining the Zephyrites – seems he missed his chance last time, but not this time.
@onemantankwall: I’m not sure what new asura gate you refer to. Behind the doors that’s “Under Construction”? That’s been there since release, if so, and goes to Fort Trinity. Becomes accessible after Battle for Fort Trinity.

Just to clarify, Canach’s billet hasn’t been bought yet. All Sheriff Siriam says is that the “noble-like” woman was one of his (few) interested buyers.

I have a sneaking suspicion said woman is Kasmeer or Marjory. If Marjory is planning ahead (like we know she likes to), she probably feels they’ll need somebody attuned well to nature to help investigate. Plus Canach has proven his resourcefulness before, and his need to help people (although it was misguided during our return to Southsun Cove) would guarantee he’d be cooperative.

I’m honestly surprised they didn’t bring him on earlier. I’d have thought his previous experience with an airborne hallucinogen would have made him a great SME with Scarlet’s miasma, when combined with Marjory’s knowledge of poisons.
To be honest I hope that it isn’t Kasmeer that paid his billet for one key reason:
Kasmeer is supposed to be skint broke, according to her back story, so while I appreciate killing scarlet might have given her a bit of gold in her pocket, I doubt LA was going to be giving enough that it rewards her with billions of gold coins after they need that same cash to rebuild LA.
No, this seems to me like it could be another char we haven’t met yet, or another char we have.
If it is Kasmeer that’s fine, but its a little on the cliche and it outright ignores the fact shes broke, plus, I see her using that coin to help give Jory good medical treatment to speed on her recovery, not on some random prisoner she hardly knows aside from a tenuous link from Southsun Cove.
I would think the other possible candidates are:
1. Mai-Trin, disguising herself again since shes pretty talented at that.
2. Countess Anise, that would be an odd choice but there could be a reason behind it (lets assume she could be MR E) for example.
3. Marjory’s Mother, or possibly other sister (No not Belinda, if you paid attention during Escape from LA, she mentions she has “sisters” not a sister). Not sure why though. It could also be Kasmeer’s mother for the same reason.
4. A member of the Consortium, most likely given Canach’s connection to them and the fact it might put some good word in for them to bail out one of their own.
5. A potential new antagonist or character that has no previous connection to the others.
Dragon bash pets in gem store…. Might imply something no?
I can see them throwing dragon bash at us to buy them more development time
Man I hope not onemantankwall… I do want to see dragonbash again but we are on a festival right now. would hate to see them back to back,.
Well we dont know because ANET WONT TELL US WHERE THEY ARE WITH GETTING S2 ROLLING (HINT, HINT ANET insert a reply here!) they could be rolling it out after this fest or need more time getting things finished and shove more festivals in our faces to get alil extra time
I can see them throwing dragon bash at us to buy them more development time
I don’t know. The first Dragon Bash had a lot of major LS plot points in it.
- Death of a LA Captain.
- First introduction of the Aetherblades.
- Introduction of Marjory.
- Kiel’s promotion to captain.
- Another hint of a puppet master pulling strings.
Yes, I know the last two technically belongs in Sky Pirates, but those two were a LS pair. Though I’d rather not have another festival right after this one, I could see them easily turning the next DB into a major LS element as well.

Talking with Destiny’s Edge 2.0 tells you that Marjory will be following up on the dragon roar everyone heard. That’s all I’ve seen so far though.
[…]
It also tells you that it turns out player characters may be becoming the leader of this Destiny’s Edge 2.0, if they aren’t already.
Almost without anyone noticing, ever since the nightmare tower, they have been letting the player lead more and more, until you see things like Rox calling the player ‘boss’ and Kiel referring to you as “their leader” when talking bout them as a “team of heroes”.
If this is right, the player may get to direct the action more, and give some orders for a change.
This may mean that they won’t be frolicking around without you so much, and you won’t miss as much of the action like when Devona’s band of heroes went AWOL in GW1:Prophecies and you met them here and there, but they were doing their thing, and you missed lots of it.
That is, less stuff “already done by NPCs” and more for you to do once you arrive at the scene.
It’ll be the greatest if we had something like a vote to give their guild a name, based in a composite of nouns and adjectives. You know, one vote for one of the words, and another or the other word, and the two words that win make up the final name.
i hope some one finds a way onto that red sailed kite ship with the glowing doorway in the trailer/cutscene. the devs really seemed to be pointing at the labyrinthine cliffs as the place where we are supposed to find clues. i personally doubt that the readily accessed npc dialogue is going to be the secret tease that they are taunting us with.
my first bet is the obvious kite ship. i think theres either an interesting npc on it or some kind of visual hint.
my second bet would be something hidden in the cliffs themselves. more likely something visual than an npc.
i kind of expect something like scarlet’s priory hideout but on a much smaller scale. until the guy who always finds stuff finds the stuff i guess ill keep falling to my death while exploring. also checking on the forums and stuff for info.
Has someone seen a strange dummy in the cliffs? It looks like something made out of plants and it has a strange purple glow.
Could you give us a picture?

If you’re talking about this, it was there last year. It would be pretty cool if they did more with the artifacts this year.
Ive spent about a gold in wp fees the rope to the red airship just isnt solid enough to jump onto (you fall to your death) there is no way to the red airship sadly unless someone breaks the invis barrier somehow
Marjory mentions that the decorations reminded her of things her parents had, that they’d got from her grandparents.
It says in the Wiki that Marjory is of Canthan descent – makes it pretty plain that the Sanctum was just in Cantha, I think.
Could be a bit of a tease, or something further in the future; there’s no reason to think that we’ll be heading to Cantha anytime soon.
Still, I think I know how we’ll get to Cantha, when the time comes…
We won’t head to Cantha soon: a NPC states that they just came back from a colorful port but due to issues there, they won’t be going back anytime soon… :/

Apparently when they meant hints they meant nothing…. They gave us nothing hinting towards s2 unless we get to kill the dragon in china…. No one seems to see a single major hint giving any teasers to s2 whats up anet why arent u good on ur word
I guess the hint will appear soon, they’ll probably implement it after the second or third week of the festival, as they sometimes did with other contents.
Son of Elonia.
Towards end of this festival we’d be getting some clues, they said in interviews.
Evidence, Mike Zadorojny in Massively interview:
“Don’t worry; by the end of the festival, you’ll hear more about Season 2.”
This seems to be in the same category as “Don’t worry, there will be a new way to get precursors by the end of 2013”…
We should be getting a s2 intoduction at the end of the festival not hintsthat should already be there anet really prolonging it i hope its worth it
I’m guessing not many people go over to the Lore forums and read the discussions? They try and track all the ambient dialogues and differences over there to look for clues. Anyway…
- There is a new ship in the Zephyrite’s fleet that wasn’t there last year. It has a glowing door.
- The Zephyrites are trying to packing up a lot of supplies for their next destination. Said destination, judging by the supplies, is very far off, but it’s still unknown.
- Taimi said their cargo is giving off strange readings, and she wants to investigate, but the Zephyrites won’t allow Scruffy on board.
- Marjory and Kasmeer are possibly planning on sneaking Taimi onboard somehow.
- The Ministry Guard tried to arrest Heal-o-tron, even though he already paid for his “crimes” and he was a hero of the BoLA. The Ministry Guard work solely for the ministers.
There is also the possibly they are going to add additional dialogue as time goes by, like they use to do for the month long LSs.
Hint: Scarlet didn’t die
Yay, we’re heading to Maguuma on July 1st!
Son of Elonia.
Oh kitten you @rebound. Scarlett better stay dead, otherwise i will seriously question my skill
