Home Instance.. PORTAL STONE
This does kind of make sense – provided that it puts you back exactly where you were when you went to the instance.
Loading times are not that great for most players and it’s a real pain to have to port into a major city, generally with longer load times, and then WP to the home instance.
the Hall of Monument stone does port u right back to where u were.
Yeah I’d love to have this. They mention they want to make the home instance more important and they also have all these random NPC conversations that are easy to miss. It would be great if the NPCs hung out at our home instance and every day when we log in, we use the portal stone to teleport right there, do our gathering and see if the NPCs have anything to say. Ambient dialogue would be much easier to see on a daily basis and it would be a good way to give meaning to the home instance and add some more exposition to the story. It’s not very conveneient waypointing to Craigstead, the Hatchery, Dead End Bar and our home instance every time you want to gather or see if the NPCs are saying anything. Add the conveneince of it acting like the HoM – teleport there from where ever you are for free and then you’re done, you teleport right out. I currently have to camp a character outside their home instance for the gathering nodes to be worthwhile.
This idea seems so obvious that it should have been in the game in beta. Of course, having a home instance that players could actually have some lasting affect on and personalize (as advertised) would have been nice too.
“your giving us all these mining nodes and cool stuff "
Mining stones and what? I mean, what else?
LITERALLY NOTHING.

Skill point.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.
If ANet hat realeased GW2 with a well-planned home-instance with story and unlockable stuff/npcs (usefull equipment, not only nodes..), they could have overhauled Blizzard with content. Now it just seems, ANet is waiting for someone to come up with an idea and try to implement it later in GW2.
I would be happy, if we could have content like this every 6-9 months, instead of this 2-weekly-tradingpost-filling stuff.
No thanks. My inventory and bank are already as clogged as they can be.
i think that’s an awesome idea
The thing about the instance nodes is that it is not worth it to go there.
If I can buy a couple of the mats off the trading post why would I go out of my way and also spend silver on waypoints when that money can be used on the post?

The one big reason is if you want to craft Celestial armour – which I did. Of course it’s not necessary, but it was much more convenient.
Given the zerker meta though, celestial armour is not such a draw for most people.
would be awsome if they put meta skin vendor in the instance also: allowing players to get more of the meta achievement reward skins (of the metas they have completed). this would allow players to aquire more then one and beable to donate some to thier pvp locker instead of having to choose how to use only 1 and having to use a transmutation splitter if they regret thier desision (no more: “which of my characters should i put it on” or “pve or pvp armor”). als allow the vendor to have the fused gloves in there (as skins).
also throw in some things from previous LS updates (such as the tri-key chest (lootable once a day/week) and the ability to buy recipes that were only available during the LS updates)
I don’t think I ever visited my home instance outside of personal story… Takes too much time to get there and not enough reward
This would be pretty cool.

he only one who doesn’t use their “home” home instance, but instead just goes to the Salma waypoint in Queensdale since it is literally AT the home instance.
Portal Salma, enter instance….it is effectively as easy as the portal stone someone is mentioning.
Just because you are Asura, or Norn, or Charr, does not mean you can’t use the “home” instance in queensdale and still get all of your nodes and stuff.
lets bump this.. I want Anet staff to tell us if this has been scribbled down on paper to bring up at one of their meetings or not! lol
