How living world killed my passion for GW2...
I feel like the emphasis on stories (living or personal) is what’s hurting GW2 since the level of writing isn’t very good or memorable. I’d hope they would focus on good gameplay instead of building on storylines, after all, if the playing is fun the storyline can be non-existent.
For me living story is bad in following ways:
- Story: predictable, unrealistic, cliché
- “Living”: it doesn’t live, there are near to no permanent changes to the world
- Achievements: achievements are very much a grind
- Rewards: nothing special
- Rough: the general design is rather rough, not detailed, hurried
I haven´t bothered to log in the last days except for fusing quartz.
I´ll see later if our guild mission can start this time, the last got canceled because nobody is logging on.
I think the living story is working, it´s making me live outside of Tyria.
What a bother.
