Molten Alliance still around!? why?
After shutting down the molten facility, the molten alliance is defeated, so why are there still sonic devices in the world?
The dynamic events to drive back the molten alliance also continue to pop up. I thought these are supposed to be removed after the living story of flame and frost is over since the alliance should’ve been broken by this point.
I’m extremely irritated by this- I was counting the days until the end of the Flame & Frost event so I could finally be rid of the kittening sonic periscopes, and yet they haven’t gone away. Please Anet, these things are annoying. The event is over. Please remove the periscopes.

My major complaint on this is that it completely destroys the idea of living story. Seeing the molten alliance members still popping up in regions after the alliance is already broken makes me feel like what I did during the flame and frost event did not matter at all.
I’m guessing this is just something that somehow stayed in the game when it shouldn’t, but this really needs to be fixed or else the living story won’t feel “living”.
Because the Audio Collector was bugged, ANet decided to not remove the Sonic Periscopes yet

On a related note – if someone could direct me to a Collector that still exists someplace, I’d be very happy. Even if just to free up the various inventory slots without trashing them…
I like to view MMOs through the lazy eye of a Systems Admin, and the critical eye of a
Project Manager. You’ve been warned. ;-)
Also, was Alliance defeated? we only destroyed some testing facilities, important infrastructure but not essential. I think that it’s natural that they around. Moreover I think that old dredge and Flame Legion Characters should be updated to reflect changes in politics of that factions.
People complained about not having enough time to finish some of the F&F achievements (partly because some of them were bugged for a while).
So ANet extended some deadlines.
Other people said that there should always be an overlap between events.
Now people complain that the stuff is still around.
I don’t think ANet can win this, to be honest.

the problem with the periscopes were they werent an achievement you could get so why are they still there i dont care if the other stuff was still there for people to finish it up

Actually the sonic periscopes (and their associated events) remaining behind is just a bug, and a fix was authored for it the day after the last build went Live. However, as sometimes happens with these things, hat particular fix was delayed and will get rolled into the May 28th build. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I don’t mind them. I don’t expect the Molten Alliance would tidy up after themselves. :P

What about the audio logs? Will we be able to hand them in? Or should we destroy them? There might be still valuable information on them. After all, why should the Molten Alliance else keep them up to spy on us.
PS: pfft, bug. Matthew is obviously a spy for the MA trying to divert our attention so that they can gather more data on us. =P
I’m just glad those evil buggers are going away. I didn’t mind them at all during the event, but at this point I just give those things as wide a berth as possible whenever I see them.
Why is it “unrealistic” anyway.
After a major conflict it’s common for pockets of resistance to remain in isolation for months or even years after the war is formally won. Sometimes insurgent elements survive long enough to help over-throw the apparent “victors” with the assistance of allied forces (See example: French resistance in WW2).
For all we know, the Molten Alliance might come back with the support of the destroyers or another dragon :p

I just finished fighting a Molten vet and his crew. I guess no one bothered to tell them the event was over. Shiverpeaks region, starting norn map.
