Wondered about that myself.
When I heard it, I immediately thought, oh oops — the writers at first hadn’t agreed to the phrasing, so one of them wrote:
Our forces were meant with violence †
† Remember to change this during next rewrite session; this is just a placeholder until we come up with something epic.
And then, of course, someone spilled coffee on the draft and people forgot to update the phrasing later.
