Q:
Hey I know it has probably been asked a million times, so before I get flamed from every side I just want to put it out there that if the answer has already been given I missed it. In such a case I am content with solely a link to the answer.
That being said my question is: “What are Arenanet’s plans for the destroyed Lion’s Arch?”
It once again has functionality with banks and trading posts etc but I was wondering wether they were going to slowly rebuild it or let it remain a ruin for all times to come.
And if they choose to slowly rebuild it, how will they do it?
Will we see small changes happening in Lion’s Arch over the period of multiple updates or will they impliment it in another way?
I kindly ask all of you to redirect me to the answer or to give me the answer yourselves if you already know.
I thank you all and wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors.
I am not aware of a single, concrete answer given by ArenaNet about what has been, is being or will be done to rebuild LA. However, this other thread on the subject makes note of some small changes that have already happened in the city. There is also an ongoing discussion of possible ways to include players in the rebuilding of the city where we actively participate in bringing about the changes.
There is a lot of potential in the current situation of the city (and Kessex Hills), but I suppose it really comes down to how involved ANet wants to make the rebuilding process and if it fits in with their timeline and other plans for the continuation of LS:S2, Halloween/Mad King’s Day and Wintersday.
If they plan to continue solely with destructive changes to simulate a ‘living world’, then I feel that it would behoove them to have a plan for rebuilding the areas devastated by the Living Story that involves player interaction, or if not, at least more significant, timely ‘scheduled’ and noticeable changes to begin taking place.
