Best news I’ve heard all day. SAB is the best. Can’t wait to see when we’re seeing more of it.

I think the GW2 community will show that the mini games are something that GW2 people want. Personally, I want a fun place to go. I want to jump in and have some fun. The Living Story is great, but I really want to have a place where I can jump in and have some fun over lunch, then later, I can work on my dailies, or dungeons, or whatever.

I’d approve of this, and keep in mind the reason the SAB goes away is for “maintenance” (actual lore reason) so I doubt they’d be showing up.

No. The SAB is where I draw the line. That can not intersect with the story, it needs to be its own thing.

Bears are evil. That bear has a park ranger hat on so he might be OK. I am gonna keep a leery eye on him at all times and won’t hesitate to cut him down should his name tag font change from green to red which I fully expect it will because he is a bear and they have no other recourse other than to be man-eating, anger filled, hate machines.

I very much dislike SAB, just horrible content for a MMO imo. But you cant please everyone all the time, like above poster, glad you all will enjoy it for me

Yeah, to each their own. For me, I’m giddy with excitement over the return of SAB. None of the other LS events have come anywhere near to this level of anticipation.

Interesting to see what they have done with it, I kinda hope they would emphasize group play in it some more, since this is MMO, but on the other hand it can be either accessible to “everyone” or group based content not both (unless they were to scale it., but thy would also need to scale the rewards then).

I don’t really like normal jumping puzzles (because of the camera and they are slightly out of place), but I do like SAB since it breaks the pace and changes the way the game can be played (also, chip tunes) and avoids the worst of the aforementioned issues the normal puzzles have and it is arguably less out of place even if it is odd content for an MMO.

Edit: for those that did not like SAB, thinking about the fact that SAB has its framework built and the fact that Halloween and Wintersday are soon after, I would be very excited about what that could potentially mean for the remainder of the updates for this year since they probably don’t need to allocate as many resources to SAB, Halloween or Wintersday now.

Also, SAB, being rotating content, while it will likely be available for the entirety of the next month there is the possibility that the second patch of that month doesn’t necessarily have to have anything to do with it (and if ANET is smart then that is the case).

But as others have said, that’ll probably be when the “preview” is put up, not when it actually becomes available in-game. SAB will probably be added in the September patch.

I suspect (and hope!) hat they will do it like first time…there was flame and frost running, but in the same time, you could run SAB. So there is hoping SAB is “just” a bonus and they will continue with living story in some fashion. It wouldn´t make sense really…“there is a lunatic on loose in the world, let´s play in interactive virtual environment!”

My greatest fear for the SAB event is that Anet would somehow add in Scarlet and those pirates into the mix.

I maybe assuming things but I believe Anet would TRY to do this just so the SAB is connected to the Living Story branch.

Well they did it while we had to save homeless refugees from dying on the road (or getting lost somehow, guess they don’t know how to press M).

Seems like the SAB will release to distract us from some kind of major happening in Tyria that actually needs our aid. And I couldn’t be happier. If I had to do another month of achievement zerging I’d probably puke, now we get some casual platforming that isn’t time gated or related to zerker/zergs.

Nope nope nope nope nope. I do not want to have to farm most likely time gated content for achievements while I want to play Super Adventure Box. The only thing worse than ‘2-week temporary content’ is 2 ‘2-week temporary contents’ at the same time.

We can finally relax; the saga of festivals comes to a close and we can finally get back to the only coherent story in the GW2 lore: Rescuing Princess Miya and the Shopkeeps from Lord Vanquish.
(About the stories; I’d mention the Dragons but I guess all of them went to sleep or imploded. The Living World seems like it spun out of control a while ago. Destiny’s Edge is all patched up and seemingly concluded.)
