I haven’t played the game much since the Karka event and haven’t even looked at the forums much since then either. After the Karka event in particular, I was worried about the living story in GW2. Very worried. The game, as a whole, would suffer immensely if the living story suffered. So many people were unable to participate in the event to a satisfactory extent for various reasons, the time constraint primary among them. Anyway, I’m sure you all remember the details and issues of that maddening hellscape at the time of the ancient karka encounter.

What I would like to say here is that I am pleased, impressed, satisfied, happy, and all manner of other positive adjectives about the way that the living story is being handled at this time (and hopefully going forward). You’ve changed the formula of it so that it can be more easily accessed by all people without serious issues. It also feels more ‘alive’ and interesting. I could go deeper into why it’s better, but I’m sure everyone understands and probably agrees. So, I’ll just sum it up:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!
I’m happy to be a GW2 player and I will likely be playing much more in the future.
Keep the great content coming!

P.S. Stop making excuses and pretty pretty please get a Cantha expansion underway. You know that every single player would like nothing better!

This sounds an awfully lot like those fake/paid-for reviews that you see on Amazon and similar sites to boost the rating for an item or seller.

This sounds like a typical negative reaction to a positive review from someone who simply disagrees with it.

I generally like the living story, but I think it started off too slow and the dungeon should have stayed around a bit longer. Aside from that I like the direction the game is going in. Interested to see where things go from here.

The dungeon staying longer ist also my only complaint. It was just fun to do =) Still hoping for a fractal including the awesome end bosses and the insane dredge with his weapon testing chamber
Over all, it was a very nice experience. Starting slow, picking up pace. Pretty designs, more accessable than the Karka event, spanning many zones. I’m happy with how it turned out.

overall, i’m pleased with the living story. I agree with Vayne that it started off a little slow.

teeth grindingly slow, but patience is a virtue (that many of us seem to lack)

now, it seems like things might move along at a better pace and possibly a little more smoothly. i’m enjoying myself, and [to me] that’s all that matters ^.^

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

That is a terrific idea. In fact, all the work that goes into one time events like this will be lost forever unless they hang around as something. Obviously you can’t give the original bonus away for completion any more, but having some echo of the event surviving as a fractal dungeon would be terrific. It sort of reminds me of the scrying pool from the Eye of the North in GW1 and the mission books where you could go participate in past events. You could reply those at any time. You only got one completion bonus, but you did keep the loot. Seeing (being) Gwen escape from the Charr. Seeing (being) Keiran on his trek through Kryta. Yeah, all very cool.

I only did the F&F dungeon one time. I’m not very good at dungeons. But I’ve got a friend that just doesn’t have a lot of time to log in and so he doesn’t have a level 80 character so he didn’t get to do it at all (he died too many times and with him gone, so was the rest of the party) and it would be great if when he finally does get a level 80 there was a fractal dungeon he could do that showed how the story ended.

Arise my pretty minion!
