Cheap? Nah, not going to happen. But you can grind for it in a different way then buying for gold or playing RNG at the mystic toilet.

The Journal probably just tracks what you need to collect or points you to what you need to grind for next, like the “kill 10 rats” achievement panel.

And then you probably need jeweler and cook to 500 in additional to the weaponsmithing of your choice and tons of other mats, karma and laurels. And of course it will be heavily time-gated. My bet is you also need 250 bloodstone bricks in the receipes as well.

But it’s good when other ways to achieve something are introduced. But cheaper? Never. Probably even more expensive compared to the time to farm the gold for buying it. And naturally the crafted precursors will be account-bound.

We’ll see how in turns out and the people that wanted precursors obtainable by grinding will QQ anyway, even though they got what they wanted.

Okey, so here are two things.
One, I hope to God you’re not right. Two, I believe you’re right.
Sad but true my experience with aNet has been that they’ll make it easier for you to do something but it’ll become WAY more expensive, or the other way around.
Anyways thanks for your insight! I didn’t want a Legendary anyway (yet i want it so bad :( ).

We will probably see Precursor prices fall a bit as more supply is introduced, but at the same time, it will also spur more people to try for a Legendary, so I doubt it will fall by much. (And of course, it will also push prices for other materials required to make a Legendary up.)

The precursor drop rate will be increased and we will still need to drop an RNG book to use it in the recipe to craft the precursor. I’m pretty sure it will drop way more often, but it looks like it’s still another RNG way to get a precursor. It will probably be time-gated but I sure hope it’s not as expensive as 800 gold.

Does the Zommoros in a bottle have a description when posted in chat? (At work so I can’t check) Is it a mini or soemthing else?

I think i read somwhere that those journals for precursros are RNG drops from random all chests and give basic mats to start crafting it. so its still RNG

I agree. Anything but farming gold. As I’ve read so far, it seems they will cost 600g though (for the crafts alone), so I’m not really hopeful. Here goes to another “magical” 6-month farm. Same goes for ascended armour. GARBAGE CONTENT

Oh and Anet; people who can’t afford to buy a precusor for 500-800g on TP are not likely to be able to buy all the materials for the crafts, just saying. The only ones you’re helping are the gold farmers in this game.

Pssst, both of your new options are also massive grinds. What is the difference between killing mobs for mats and just killing more mobs? Hint: nothing.

Well one doesn’t require rng in it (drops)…

It says “Double click to communicate with Zommoros” or something like that.

Also, if the crafting for precursors becomes a thing, they did mention that the new t7 ascended mats would be involved, so expect bricks and globs of dark matter or something new.

They already did “Zommoros in a bottle” or what most would think when they first see that name. They called it a mystic forge conduit :P.

It would be interesting if this item has an entirely different functionality, or is perhaps story related but short of a MF conduit by different name I really don’t have a clue what it could be.
