…is neither gold sink nor WvW commanders nor trollish unkillable wet noodle WvW specs.

The only circumstances in which this gear can make sense in the whole zerk-meta-driven game is if we lose the ability to easily rally at the closest waypoint in the map during the upcoming large boss fight(s).

  • If there are no waypoints in your map, you can’t get back as you’ll lose your shard because of the megaservers system.
  • It means that if you’re dead, you have to be revived – and that’s a problem when a boss is 1-shotting any zerker not actively dodging, evading and blocking.
  • If you can’t outlive your enemies and everybody goes down, you lose. A map-wide dungeon wipe.
  • If there’s an “unrevivable” penalty after you’ve been dead for some time (like “sinked into sand”), it makes things even harder.
  • 2-week unlimited Inquest Revive Orb (with a chance at sprockets), now in Gem Store!

It all makes sense. NOW, PANIC!

20 level 80s and counting.

I thought they released it just so that eventually every stat combination becomes available.

Agreed. It was the only combination that seemed like a no-brainer, to not have it was nea mind boggling. Sadly though I don’t think it changes much, it’s at the point where it’s just come in too late.

Ooh, that’d be excellent for world bosses.

Many alts; handle it!

no waypoint i nthe area?.. no..
youre punishing the wrong guys
only organized runs will be a thing and that will lead to 1hour long searchings erver and klicking doing nothing

much better would be the waypoint in hte opposite corner of the map is still available

and not to scale everything up people who get fully downed get instaported there (if they have enough money) if not ..lions arch

that would encourage palyers to res.. since everyone on the floor is just down stayed
would elad to..pelase dont die or you have to run all the way again

and to (oh i forgot to mention that you get a buff each time you hit the boss to maximum 2minutes with this buff on you you get the reward)
actually do the boss not just come by die get ported away and still get the reward

if you die at his final attack.. it sucks but u get the reward
and it would
overall imrpoove a lot of things

i think

I just assumed the point was to add one more stat combination option to the pool of existing ones.

The OP’s scenario actually sounds fun in a masochistic sort of way, though.

Considering vines are taking over waypoints. It does seem likely that there will be less waypoints to use, either temporarily and potentially permanent. (I hope not, I like my insta travel. )

Well, nothing bad about one more conspiracy theory, right?

I’m waiting for a Condition Damage / Power / Precision or Ferocity stat spread myself.

This would make sense, if anything large in this game didn’t one shot tanks and glass cannons alike…

And don’t give me that crap video, that was a whole group overlapping AOE heals in tanking gear.

Dodge+block+evade+invul does a lot more than tankiness ever will. Bosses 2-shot you in tank gear or one-shot you in zerker gear. If you can’t dodge, you die either way.

I know, right? I mean, condition builds are borked in big-boss PvE, but I always see Condition Damage take a back seat to Power in the regular stat combinations.

Ooh, Condition Duration, Condition Damage, Precision? (I’d say Power, but Precision offers more chances for crit-based procs. Either/or.)
