This season is gonna be horrible (SPOILERS)
we all knew this was gonna happen since the fort salma attack, but i dont really see this as something bad and i doubt treharne will play a leading role, right now it is all about DE 2.0 and us
Boo hoo? Honestly think it should have been expected that he would get involve sooner or later, and I glad PS feels more involve with LS. Eh I don’t think he was that bad of a character (maybe a change in VA would be nice through) and maybe he will have a lesser role in LS
The leader of the organization we have spent 70% of the game purposedly training to kill dragons is going to show up to the meeting of how to kill the dragon we are after.
Who woulda thought.
Between having the story be bound to time-gated group events and the bugs forcing me to change flows constantly to get them, dealing with Trehearne again is just fine, thank you.
Besides, it makes sense given the situation.
Maybe now that he’s finished his Wild Hunt thingy, he’d have had enough time for other worthwhile pursuits, like learning to speak with more than one tone.
cool we have same amount of gold
If Rocket Charge is only 2 leaps then it should look like 2 leaps
True Shot should be cast on the move
A little off topic but I hope whoever wrote that letter, “I had a heart attack,” is recovering well.
Oh I can’t wait to be called commander again. I’m downright thrilled! I highly dislike being called “boss”. Boss of what? Whay am I the boss now? Noone asked me to be the boss. I’m way more delighted with being called commander than boss.

Please, we all know hes the JarJar Binks of Guild Wars 2. Although Tybalt comes in a close second for me. Say it, don’t spray it jeesh.
It has to be said.
“This won’t end well.”
Good. And I actually like Trahearne as well. Hopefully they use this opportunity to improve his character.
“Moving on.”
I hope that if they give him some voiced lines, the actor gets a little bit of emotion in there.
He had the most monotone voice I’ve ever heard in any game.
You know, I actually do like Trahearne’s character. I don’t think he ruined the initial personal story by any means nor do I see him destroying this one. I do, however, hope that the voice actor drinks a Red Bull or some coffee before he reads his lines. He just sounded so bored. Everyone is right in saying that he lacks a lot of emotion. Trahearne is indeed just too monotone.
I miss Tybalt and the vigil dude… On a side note, I like being called boss in DE 2.0, makes me feel like a kitten champion, that’s right Kas and Jory come to the bosses office…

No, sir, I don’t like it.
. . . unless Logan and Rytlock start calling me ‘boss’ too. Together. And Logan has to wear a dress.
. . . and so does Rytlock.

NEVER LEAVE A WRONG TO RIPEN INTO EVIL! KILL TRAHEARNE!
I don’t know why everybody hates Trahaerne. I actually had quite fun listening to his ridiculous dialogues etc.
Can’t wait to see more.
During the aftermath of the final Scarlet eventpeople complained about him not showing up to help protect/reclaim Lion’s Arch. So yeah…
I don’t mind the Lettucehead though, he’s like Kirito of GW2.

lol same here. I’m not even his biggest fan but this ridiculous hate he gets makes me kinda like him more on principle. he’s so inoffensive that this “omg Thrahearne is the worst 5ever!!!111” meme got old pretty fast.

I just miss Forgal. Trahearne was no replacement for Forgal, and no one but Forgal can be Forgal!
The longer Trahearne stayed out of the story, the more ridiculous it became. He’s the leader of the Pact – it wouldn’t make sense to tell a story in Tyria about fighting an Elder Dragon without including him.
Treahearne just wrote me a letter saying he’ll be joining the summit of leaders…
rolls on the floor laughing
…
hiccups, then laughs some more
Aw cmon people, he aint so bad. Maybe if Anet is really nice, we’ll get to kill him.
I carry a bottle of ranch at all times, just in case that day ever comes.

Yup, this. I never saw the hate until after my personal story and I spent the whole time enjoying him AND his voice. He’s a necromancer and a pretty big loner until you and he command the Pact, so I loved the contrast of his voice against say, Sieran’s to show the range of Sylvari personality. I think he’s just become certain segments of the fandom’s go-to punching bag -shrug- I always get a hit of the feels when he cleanses Orr.
I’m really excited for him to be back in the story. He was my character’s bff for a long while, and finally the United Forces of Messing Up Dragons is getting involved Esss just got real.
A large Fail…………. Bugs abound of course….. and I don’t mean fossils never go a single fossil not to say I did not try. This crap is jumping back and forth to places we have already done . I expected more from this game as was promised at the start and I mean hype from all the betas and what ever happened to new areas and thing you have done staying done I never thought I would be saying this but I am seriously thinking this game is not worth it after the 2 years I have stuck by it thinking it will get better. This episode proves that it will not get better just monotonous with the crap they are doing and having to zerg thru it because it is impossible to do things alone du to the matrix of the story unfolding and I am not against zergs just the way you have to complete things now plus a jumping puzzle you have to do in order for a back piece .GET REAL ANET!!! Why not just call it world wars instead of GUILD WARS because Guilds do not matter here.
I hope they troll ppl soo much with him and his voice acting all the hate you guys put on one person is kind of crazy.

I don’t hate him for his voice acting, I hate him because he was the replacement for Forgal. I stopped playing my Personal Story for six months or so after Forgal died.
Is it horrible if Trahearne ends up getting killed?

You know every one had a different person base off your starting races and chose and chose of faction? The fact that you had so much feeling for an person from the PS shows they did it right because death should have meaning and a story needs to have some type of meaning to it and death is one way to show that there a price to pay for what going on. So in a way you failed your Forgal by letting him die in vain because you stopped trying to deal with the dragon.

You realize we killed Zhaitan and avenged Forgal right? Forgal didn’t die in vain either, he gave his life so the rest of us could escape, and so they could make room for Trahearne.

I didn’t quit Personal Story, I stopped playing it for a time because without him it was just so boring. I did kill Zhaitan and do Arah Story though.
Well, it’d be a convenient way to kill him. I’ve been eyeing that sword of his for a while now.

Sounds like your trying to make an excuse for not liking the PS because a death of some one you liked but if you liked them then it was not boring because he is still part of the PS even after his death because his death gave meaning to the story. To call it boring is to call his death boring.

… I don’t think you understand how stories work. They can have highs and lows, they aren’t just one long stretch of the same quality, and after Forgal died it became one long low point.

Then you did not like him? You do not seem to get what a story is its a set of events that leads up to a high point with no real dip a death is part of a story getting to its high points. If is death means nothing then its pointless to have it there in the first places unless its a logic part of the story. His death was part of the meaning of the story and the story that came after and gave a bit more meaning to the story before.

I really had to /facepalm when you asked me if I liked him or not. I liked him, he was one of the best parts of the story, but without him it suffered because it lacked any likable characters. Deaths can be a good factor, but they cannot make up for the lack of any interesting characters.

True, except his death is just as bad a character as Trahearne. I liked him as a character, but they removed what was good about him. If the next pages are boring, then there’s nothing the pages before can do to redeem it. If I took the Avengers, killed off all of the likable characters and did seven movies about a humorless, emotionless character, and he/she was the only character in the entire plot, would those seven movies be good just because I liked The Avengers? Absolutely not, and the same principle applies here. If you refuse to see logic, I’m just going to stop arguing with you.
I just love that he came in uninvited (well Pale Tree mentioned it to him). The player didn’t even think to involve the group of which he is the Commander and took down a dragon. I mean really?!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a Trahearne fan, but why wouldn’t our character think to go to them immediately once it was determined to truly be a dragon influence. As second in command, you’d think we’d have plenty of influence to muster a force to start taking action!

According to the wiki he was planning. He better bring a darn good plan.
I personally don’t mind Trehearne. I don’t really like or hate him, he’s just kinda there to make the player character a bit less Mary Sue-ish as they would be if they were the Marshal themselves. At least that is what I have drawn from it, and I’m okay with that, but I have yet to see much charcterization beyond that.

Trahearne as a character is actually pretty interesting. Players just use him as a scapegoat for everything they didn’t like about the personal story, just like they used Scarlet as a scapegoat for everything they didn’t like about the Living Story season 1.

Quoted for truth. I was even one of the primary subjects to fall into this Scarlet-wise, and I admit it.

Yeah. I got very sad when I heard that he’ll make a re-appearance. Ugh, no more Trehearne, please… Please…
Unless the new Dragon eats him. Now that I’d like to see.
