Ways of getting SW shovels?
Go buy shovels with Bandit crests
Go buy shovels with Bandit crests
Where can you buy them? I thought only keys for chests could be bought with Bandit crests?
You can’t buy shovels for Bandit Crests – not sure where FlamingFoxx heard that from.
Otherwise, the best way to acquire shovels is really only through the Silverwaste events (and very rarely from mob drops in the Silverwastes). I recommend the fort defence and capture events, as those seem more likely to drop a shovel when compared to smaller/easier events such as escorting a dolyak and killing a veteran mordrem.
I don’t think there is a correlation between sticking to a single fort to capture/defend it over and over again and the amount of shovels you acquire (but of course, capture/defend events already have a high chance of bestowing a shovel).
Wait what. Seriously O_o. My bad. I haven’t been in the Silverwastes for months, I was so sure that you could purchase them from the main vendor in the Pact camp, but I’ve checked and you’re right.
Sorry for that!
The first defence phase after a fort has been captured will reward you with a shovel.

You’re probably thinking of bandit keys. Those you can buy for bandit crests.
Shovels you can only get from fort events.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

Pretty sure that you can get shovels from any of the events that include a bouncy/bonus chest. However, KdT’s main point stands: you can’t buy shovels for love, money, or bandit crests.
