Will it be a new zone?
They already confirmed waypoints and hearts in the new zones.
We just have to wait but i guess they will really surprise us to make up
for the last season.
I am really excited
Don’t throw your computer, just play something else like me. Better and cheaper solution.

I think I missed this. Where did they confirm this?
As post 80 content, I would have thought we wouldn’t see hearts in the maps….

Can you, or another, provide the link to that please?
Maybe it’ll be a new instance accessible from a crappy zone.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
If it’s instanced, people will moan. If it’s a permanent zone, the same people will still moan. In short, moaners will moan regardless.

Care to link that please?

May not be post 80 content. For all we know it could be a 50-60 zone or something. With level scaling it would make no difference, in fact, most of the time I’m in non-80 zones anyway.
I would like post-80 content though, but if it wasn’t 80 I wouldn’t really care. New zone is a new zone.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
“Hi, I just bought this game, why do people that finished map completion before July 1st 2014 have advantage over me? Why do I have to complete one more zone? Worst update ever!”
Nope, I don’t think it will be new zone. Or maybe something like Southsun, which doesn’t count towards map completion.

Does WoW not place this burden on its new players? Why not Gw2 then? It’s kinda ridiculous that game development could be held back because “muh new playas dun wanna complete moar things”. :/
However, as long as it’s a sizeable new zone with better rewards and kitten to do I’ll be happy.

Map completion is OP.
It may be a fully explorable map that counts toward map completion, but not to those who already have it. Just like the extra WP and POIs in map completion zones don’t count toward those who already completed it. Players who have 100% map will still be able to complete it and get the zone completion reward.
At least thats how I see it working. They wouldn’t take away our gifts of exploration with the edition of each new zone. That would kitten off the ENTIRE player base, including those new to the game.
It’s the chain I beat you with until you
recognize my command!”

That would be the most ridiculous reason not to add new zones.
Also calling the update “Gates of Maguuma” and not coming with a new zone would cause a lot more complaints than adding zones.

Why would it be instanced? lol..
I’m amazed how you come up with speculations like these.
Is there any other map in the game that is instanced? (lol, other than claw island)
Also.. you want better rewards than Orr?
Orr is a great place to farm. Tons of loot bags from a sick amount of mobs, and all the group events. I’d be happy if we could do the same in Maguuma for a change.
Map completion is irrelevant. Southsun Cove, Labyrinthine Cliffs and Edge of the Mists have all been added without affecting map completion – it’s simply not worth letting one little achievement restrict future additions to the game.
If anything it’d be split into a separate achievement like cartography in GW1’s Cantha and Elona.

I suppose that’s possible, but from what I inferred from the twitch stream, that doesn’t make sense. Although, my impression could be wrong.
If they are treating LS2 as continued story, that you can’t even access until you’re 80, then having a lower level zone doesn’t really make sense to me. I would expect it to be all max level zones, which presently don’t have hearts.
shrug I guess we see what we get.

When was the last time you’ve been to Orr?
Loot bags don’t drop as often, event rewards nerfed to the ground

I think what makes it likely to be a lower level zone is that it’s connected to a low level zone. It would be pretty jarring if someone was leveling in Brisban at level 15 and walked through a portal to a level 80 zone. This could be solved by a warning message or a locked door, but who knows. Assuming they release the entire maguuma over the next few months in multiple zones, they could progress the maps from 15 to 80 in sequence. Each zone would have to cover like 20 levels though.
Yet, Frostgorge Sound is accessed directly from Wayfarer Hills. There is a precedent of Level 80 zones being directly connect to even starter areas.

Oh I didn’t realize that lol. Its been forever since I leveled a character without crafting.

hehehehe
You mean something like walking into Frostgorge (a lvl 70-80 zone ) from either wayfares or snowden?
Or wandering into Dredgehaunt from Hoelbrak because you took the wrong portal?
There are other examples out there too. There isn’t really anything right now that’s barring lower levels from going to those higher zones. No warnings pop up or anything.
Since the new content cannot be played until you’re 80, and it’s supposed to function as continued story post 80 content, I really don’t see having the lower level zones. Otherwise, why bother barring it?
