Zephyr airship = Kiel's doing?
interesting theory
It’s not a theory, but facts based on unbiased research!
oh god not this crud again
it all fits if it turns out blood fist killed her family. I mean he was a pirate. This would also give the lore more depth i think. But i honestly don’t expect it. But i think it is more aitherblade pirates doing I mean what do you expect sky pirates to attack. Sky merchants. i think this fits alot better.
Clearly it was Kiel who tipped off the Inquest where and when to shoot down the airship.
The airship wasn’t “shot down”. Explosives were planted on board among the cargo that was loaded. The video clearly shows that this was an inside job. No one bothered to check, because Kiel had signed off on the ship’s manifest. Taimi’s sensors detected something strange, but ultimately didn’t raise any alarms. It was the Zephyrite’s cargo, so one would think a guest wouldn’t have permission to dig through boxes. This probably means Kiel had help in disguising the explosive’s signatures.
Think about it, who was responsible for Lion’s Arch being destroyed? Kiel.
I’m not seeing this. Kiel was the one warning the Captain’s Council once evidence of the attack was delivered. While we were told that should Evon have been elected LA would have stood a better chance, it isn’t Kiel’s fault that LA was unprepared but the rest of the Captain’s Council.
Now who was responsible for organizing the trade agreement, only to have the cargo filled with explosives? Kiel.
Who said that the explosives came from the cargo?
Who benefits from the money raised by the Zephyrites to rebuild LA? Kiel.
All of Lion’s Arch, rather than just Kiel.
Who benefits from the money raised by the Zephyrites to rebuild LA? Kiel.
Now that all the money was transferred to the Captain’s Council, she had no further need for them, so she blew up the airship, ala the Consortium ship in Southsun Cove’s LS.
She blew up a ship that had no one on board and in turn destroyed a bunch of paper contracts that kept refugees effective prisoners on an island full of hostiles.
Not exactly close to how you’re painting it.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
For those who aren’t in the know, Smooth Penguin is an unabashed Gnashblade supporter and does this every time a new LS chapter is released. Play along or argue back as you see fit, but don’t get too upset about it.
It’s obvious that Evon was the one who blew up the Zephyrites. Why? Simple: they’re competition. Thanks to Kiel, Evon became likely to be the top merchant in Lion’s Arch, but he has a major competitor in the Zephyrites. Take out the Zephyrites, and he can easily have Lion’s Arch under his thumb – which was his original intention in forming the Black Lion Trading Post as shown in his background short story.
Evon is Season 2’s villain.

I think Gnashblade did it in revenge. They didn’t chose him, so he blows their ship up. He also sold LA out by telling scarlet how best to attack LA. He’s responsible for us not getting the fall of Abbadon. if he hadn’t chosen it, we’d’ve gotten it by now. In fact, that makes him responsible for the explosion at thaumanova reactor. Actually, now that I think about it, he probably funded the aetherblades, making him responsible for everything they did. And he finaced the experiment that created scarlet. So, he’s responsible for every death she caused. He’s, in fact, tyria’s greatest monster.

I must agree. Why else would gem exchange rates keep rising?
Cmon guys. 0:52 of the trailer.
1) Ship blows up.
2) Camera pans over to a hidden ambush site on a cliff, where Braham & friends are looming threateningly and brandishing their weapons
3) Shots of LS1 heroes plunging into the storm to finish off any survivors
It’s pretty obvious who the villains are this season.

Whoa now. Are you suggesting that we kill Taimi off next, as her young curious mind might want to recreate what Scarlet did?

Or that what Kiel wants you to think! Consider this, please – Coucil of Captain is formed of the most savvy pirates in the high seas, why would they ignore such an obvious threat to their city?
They wouldn’t, unless someone would present them with the idea in a way so ridiculous and laughable, that any further proof provided by anyone else be dismissed out of hand as a “conspiracy theory nutcase talk”.
Who was the first person to deliver news of imminent attack? Kiel. points finger and hides under his tinfoil hat

I’m thinking that the Zephyrites are now regretting their involvement with Ellen Kiel. Think about it, who was responsible for Lion’s Arch being destroyed? Kiel. Now who was responsible for organizing the trade agreement, only to have the cargo filled with explosives? Kiel. Who benefits from the money raised by the Zephyrites to rebuild LA? Kiel.
It all makes sense now. Ellen Kiel conspired to have Lion’s Arch destroyed, because she knew the good hearted nature of the Zephyrites would provide assistance in a time of need. Now that all the money was transferred to the Captain’s Council, she had no further need for them, so she blew up the airship, ala the Consortium ship in Southsun Cove’s LS.
What we need now is a true leader to save the day. We need Evon Gnashblade more than ever to help rescue the only means we have of traveling to Cantha.
#TeamGnashblade, we must gather to fight this new enemy! Our time is NOW!
Pretty sure it was Evon that both told the inquest about the ship and paid them to attack it. And what did Evon do during the LA assault? he hid in the vigil keep like the spy/traitor he is, while Kiel valiantly fought against Scarlett’s minions.
#TeamHoboTron must rise and become the net that will protect the sky(ies).

Go Team Evon!
If we’re drawing up a suspect list, I’d like to remind everyone that there is a Sylvari dashing about on the Sanctum right now, very eager to travel with them, and babbling that it’s the beginning of “great things” for him.
We also have a shady NPC named Carden, who keeps trying to sell…something…and failing because whatever it is alarms his would-be customers (“I know where you got that, and I don’t want any trouble with those people!”).
I’m still trying to determine whether these two had such dialogue during the original Bazaar, or if it was added this year. But certainly it’s interesting.

Ok, I can’t take it anymore. It was me. Evon payed me lot’s of money to make it look like Kiel did it. I thought I could handle it, but my conscience is nagging at me since I did it in six days.

I must agree. Why else would gem exchange rates keep rising?
It is because he became dirt poor as Kiel Seized all his financial assists. He actually funded entire war and relief effort for LA. I thought that was what ambient conversations where about. Gem prices rising is effectively Kiels falt for slapping the face of BLT. I wouldn’t be surprised if consortium takes over now that there biggest competitor essentially got all their assets taken away.
For how much people hate Evon a lot farm his keys and buy and enjoy his products.

How’s it the end of the thread? All the ‘lore master’ did was regurgitate stuff that Kiel supporters have been saying for months now. Stuff that isn’t exactly painting the truth either.
I want to see evidence that Evon was not warning Lion’s Arch for months on end of another attack, even before Kiel got her so called evidence.
I also want to see supporting evidence that the explosions in the trailer weren’t from the inside. I doubt that Anet got so excited for that trailer that they forgot to add rocket trails behind the invisible missiles just so we would spend a week speculating in the wrong direction.
This is Evons fault for sure!
Think about it, now that the Zephyrites need help we have to roll in and safe them. Since the Maguuma Jungle is a large area there will be a large force of regular soldiers of the pact and a even bigger force of volunteers (adventurers etc.). These people need supplies, gears and weapons. For a 3-6 months deployment every soldier will need 10g of supplies (food, water, meds, ammo and so on). Approximately 500.000 people will take part on this mission. So its already 5kk gold only for supplies. The Black Lion Company is selling all of these stuff or charge 15% taxes on it. Together with gear, spare parts, weapons and the burials for the fallen the cost for this mission will at least amount 700kk gold. Also all loot which will be sold has to be sold over the BLC. In the end only Evons company will benefit from this mission. And millions or even billions of gold are a good reason to kill innocent people and start a war against the inhabitants of the jungle. After all war is good for the (mostly from Evon controlled) economy.
Team Kiel! Stop the madness of this person and bring justice to Tyria by bringing him to an independent court and trial him for his crimes!
It’s not a theory, but facts based on unbiased research!
I bet if Kiel had been a man instead of a woman you would not have this theory

Prepare! The most boring, cliche, predictable and uncharacteristic story continues in…SEASON 2!
Of course its Kiel’s doing! You would have to be blind not to see this. She’s been behind it all from the very beginning. She’s a cutthroat murderer. Hopefully Evon will deal with her this time.

Exactly, Kail is after glint’s offspring that were hidden aboard the zephyrites ship. Its why she secretly propped up Trahearn as a weak leader of the pact to kill the elder dragons. Once the elder dragon’s are out of the way, she will have the pact cave in on itself, then raise and use Glint’s children to take over Tyria.
#Thinkofthechildren
And penguin goes on trolling about kiel…
I don’t think it was kiel this time. Definitely the work of another evil sylvari rising. All throughout ls1 sylvari didn’t let us down, they always brought trouble and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
#ecoterrorism
I knew it! Kiel is a dragon minion! xD hahaha just kidding course.
NO in all fairness there is this shady character moving between the merchants in the bazaar of the four winds.
He keeps acting suspicious and paranoid always saying “stop following me”.
I’m betting he has something to do with it as his behavious is shady at best.

Neither was Penguin, but that’s beside the point.
I want to see evidence that Evon was not warning Lion’s Arch for months on end of another attack, even before Kiel got her so called evidence.
I want to see evidence he actually did anything more proactive than playing doomspeaker and nursing resentment. Until then, he’s as useless as Kiel was in preventing the tragedy.

I blame Scarlet. Why? Easy. Because she’s dead and can’t defend herself. Nyeh.

1. Key word from my post being ‘either’. I’m pretty sure that means I already acknowledged that Penguin wasn’t painting the truth any better.
2. Who ever said the destruction of Lion’s Arch was a tragedy? A city of ‘ex’ pirates getting wiped out? Scarlet did us a favor!
3. I don’t care if it was Evon’s, Kiel’s, Canach’s, or even the Skritt King’s fault. All I’m saying from that is that the explosions either occurred internally, or the trailer didn’t tell us everything because it was put together too quickly.
The sylvari caused the explosion. Being subconcious servants of Mordremoth, they learned that the remains of Glint were on board. The airship was rigged to explode as it went over Mordremoth’s territory, so that Mordy could gain the magic of Glint’s remains.
1. Key word from my post being ‘either’. I’m pretty sure that means I already acknowledged that Penguin wasn’t painting the truth any better.
I’m pretty sure that was also my fifth time trying to post that without getting an error and having to retype the whole thing. Sorry about missing it.
2. Who ever said the destruction of Lion’s Arch was a tragedy? A city of ‘ex’ pirates getting wiped out? Scarlet did us a favor!
That’s one way to look at it. I prefer to look at the deaths of those who were there as the tragedy, but then I’m odd like that.
3. I don’t care if it was Evon’s, Kiel’s, Canach’s, or even the Skritt King’s fault. All I’m saying from that is that the explosions either occurred internally, or the trailer didn’t tell us everything because it was put together too quickly.
The last thing is probably more true not because it was slapped together on a lunch break but because its cuts are rather frantic so it’s hard to say exactly what happened. It’s like getting five slices of a few seconds out of a movie and having to figure out the context without anything other than press releases.
Actually it’s exactly like that.
Anyway, you’re not really the target of the little sarcasm which bled in. You’ve at least been more objective about this. It’s the people who would cheerfully use it for cases against either Kiel or Evon, when we don’t know anything about how or who or lots of other details.
We know explosions, and a crashed sanctum.
We could always just say “Michael Bay did it to pay back for the sass about his movie style” and call it a night.
You’re all wrong.
The Zephyrites blew up their own airship. Who would ever suspect them? Now they can point the finger at whoever they want to create mistrust and distractions. Likely targets are the D.E2 and Captains Council.
The Zephyrites are seeking the take over LA for themselves, and feed the bodies of the Krytans to Mordremoth to gain the dragons favour.

I’m saying it was Gnashblade because he’s still bitter from missing out on that trade agreement. Such a sore loser
Going with Sylvari idea a little bit. There was a merchant who got to go along with the Zepherites who was very exited to get on board. His goods could have been source of explosives.
This could also be consortium plot against Kiel they are kinda kittened at her.

This. I’m practically dancing up and down like Aerin himself here reading through this thread: “Why are they so worried about Kiel and Gnashblade when we’ve got a Sylvari running around who’s acting really weird, even for a Sylvari?”
