We helped Kiel to settle a trade agreement with the zephyr sanctum so she could win a seat on the pirate council, right? So, have the zephyrites just abandoned the agreement or will they be coming back soon?

The zephyr sanctum was my favourite part of the living story so far. It was beautiful, added some new elements (no pun intended) to the way players could travel around the area and the zephyrite npcs seemed fleshed out enough with their culture/back stories to make them interesting. Even if the sanctum isn’t ready to return yet, I’d be happy with just the lower labyrinthine cliff section back as a place to practice sanctum sprint skills.

I imagine my next suggestion might be unpopular, but I’ll suggest it anyway…

I think it would also be useful to have at least one node to harvest quartz from at the cliffs. Not to undermine the home instance nodes, but even when I harvest mine I usually only get 3 – 5 crystals. Having one other node for everyone would help new players who only have the access to quartz through the trading post (and it’s not cheap) and would still give players with quartz in their home instance a significant advantage as they would be able to harvest at least twice as much – the home instance could always be tweaked to provide more if necessary.

What do you think?

The Bazaar of 4 Winds is an annual festival. So they will return same time next year.

I was under the impression Dragon Bash being the annual festival and BoFW just being something that will come back but not necessarily same time every year (otherwise we will always have DB BoFW and GW2 Anniversary pretty much back to back and that based on what was said over the summer is bit of an over saturation of celebrations).

I’m trying to find the post but IIRC the word they used was periodical, not annual, so for all we know it might come back before a year has passed (like the SAB).

EDIT: found the post, relevant paragraph is this one:

We still want to have some content that can happen each year, our holiday festivals, Super Adventure Box, Zephyr Sanctum, and the new Queens Gauntlet are all intended to be content that will regularly return. The goal of having these in our portfolio of event content that can occur again each year is they allow us the opportunity to easily build on something we’ve already completed as themes for some of our releases for year 2

So he does say “return again each year” which makes it look like it’ll be an anual thing, but also includes the SAB in the list of events that will “regularly return”, which does come more often than once in a year, so it can go either way.

Well even if the Sanctum came back next December that is technically still once a year… once a calender year that is.

The safest way to interpret that is that the content is likely to be back at least once a year barring obvious holidays and Dragon Bash which are tied by lore to that particular time slot. In other words things like SAB and the Bazaar are releases that can take a slot when they are needed or there is a “free” slot.

I think the bazaar will make another appearance when the economy needs balancing.

If you guys remember, we could trade in different amount of different ressources for Bazaar stuff. This made materials that were at all time low prices and high quantity go up in prices and lower their huge quantities on the TP.

So I guess, The Bazaar will come back when the material economy needs balancing.

I do wish they’d left the cliffs as a mini town though, was a waste to just fully close it off. The ship could have moved on but the area was awesome even without the ship.

I wouldn’t make sense for the mini town to remain there without the ship, IIRC the whole thing was a temporary place they set up for traders from all the land to come over and offer their wares, and they’d take it with them when they left…. plus, they’re the only ones with access to the crystals, it would be impossible to navigate that area without them.

Of course, that doesn’t explain why we still have access to sanctum sprint, though… but I won’t complain because it’s my favorite mini game..

No, no, we have the effects of the trade contract, they just aren’t very impressive.

We can buy kites from Evon and we can pay a dude in the LA bank to turn them in to guild kites.

Zephyrites are obviously shrewd negotiators.

That would be because Evon is preparing for a smear campaign against Kiel and is buying them all up before they ever reach us, so that we will have her removed from the council.

Seriously though, it would indeed have been nice to see something come out of it.

Not true, you can get zephyrite goods in LA from the armor skin trader.

Maybe, but last I checked that is only to allow people to spend any leftover fortune scraps with no real way to get new ones (haven’t checked the trading post on Kite Fortunes though, but still they are no longer generated in game).

Or did they chance the currency on that tab after the fact?
