Q:
So before going for Incinerator, I would do my dungeon cycle then CS farm for gold. Now, the T6 mats from CS farm I keep, reducing my daily income greatly. I assume the good idea is to keep these mats, so now I only make about 15g a day. How am I supposed to make gold now?! TP flipping I do from time to time, but apparently you quickly get undercut if you use popular websites to find flippable items. So how do I make money?

You should check the wiki. All the relevant information is written there.
Ascalon 1-3, TA up+fw, CM 1-3, SE 1+3, CoE 1-3, Arah 1+2, CoF 1.
Doing all these dungeons should give you some money. I would recommend farming the silverwastes.
The obsidian shards you can drop out of the bandit chests are worthwhile + some random loot (mostly nothing special – but still sellable at the TP).
It fairly depends on your own playstyle. You can get money fast and pretty easily in this game – making/forging the legendary fast.
Or…
Wait a little longer – doing everything at slower pace.
Still the best way is playing the trading post, Selling dungeon parts and just luck.
You should definitely keep the T6 mats, you need 250 of each of them to make the legendary so if you sell them now you’ll just end up buying them later and lose gold in the long run.
I don’t know what to suggest for making more gold though. IMO 15g a day is pretty good, I’ve nearly finished my legendary and I’ve been averaging about 3g a day, and not playing every day. It just means it takes longer.
Thanks guys, both of you helped me out!
I’ve kept the mats, and am currently doing the dungeons Zention suggested, and am flipping the TP, making anywhere from 15-30g a day from flipping alone
(still learning)
It also helps to take advantage of the time gated items, like ascended materials and food for mawdrey. They don’t bring in a lot, but can still get you some extra 2-3g a day for only 1-2 mins of crafting.
And I’d also like to point out Silverwastes and its shovel runs, you get a very decent amount of cash from it if you sell everything and only keep the t6 mats. You’ll also get a metric ton of obsidian shards.
As was said above, dungeons are a very good source of income, but a complete tour does take a little while. If you’re short on time, I suggest running at least the fast ones first (cof p1, se p1, cm all, ta up), and then think about the others (se p3 is easy but takes a long time at the clown car unless you have a good guardian and can melee it, which happens rarely in pugs; ta fw has that long skip and pugs can really mess it up if there is no thief; AC has a good return but it can take long-ish and the pugs there tend to be the most horrible in the dungeon pug community in my experience, and p3 especially takes forever due to the stupid burrows snorefest; CoE is awesome since it drops Charged Cores and Lodestones, but it just takes long even if the party is fast, and it can be a nigtmare with a bad group, especially in p1 at the 1-4). If you have the time, however, totally do them all, the return is very very good. Don’t forget to sell the tokens as well – all dungeons except CoF have at least 1 set of armor that can be salvaged for insignia, so every time you get 180 tokens, buy a light headpiece and salvage it with a BLSK (if you have surplus) or master/mystic salvage kit; you will get mats, ectos, dark matter and you have a ~60-70% chance to get the insignia, which usually sells for ~2g.
Also, remember to try and balance things out so that you don’t burn out; reserve time to do stuff you like (PvP, WvW, social stuff etc etc, w/e floats your boat), so the farm for the legend does not make you hate the game!
All the best!
