Guild Wars 2

Hey all.

I was hoping to get some input from EU players who play on the NA servers, as to what their experience is like with ping. Do you notice much lag? Has anyone had to transfer back to the EU because their ping was too high?

I am asking this because my guild from another MMO recently got into Guild Wars 2 and i would like to play with them on the NA servers.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

I’m in the UK and normally play on EU servers, but my free account is on the NA servers and I don’t notice any difference between the two.

Admittedly I rarely do big world bosses on my free account and I can’t enter WvW yet. But based on what I have done I can’t see any reason it’d be dramatically different.

A famous GW2 youtuber, WoodenPotatoes, plays in the NA servers and he is in UK.
I’ve never seem him complain and his game footage looks great, even in PvP/WvW and big events.

My mainaccount is on a EU server but i have account in NA too. Up to about a month back i had never had any lag issues at all. Together with a patch roughly a month back, maybe more, i now suffer from lag every now and then. Sometimes to a point were it gets unplayable. It happens anywere in game, so it is not depending on to many players or events around. You can solve it by relog and then it is totally ok when you log back in but yeah this has been a issue for me. All though i have friends in EU playing from EU who have this issue as well, so might not be related with region.

I play from Eastern Europe on NA server, never had lag issues (except for the ones that most of the map I was on was having).
