Guild Wars 2

Hello all, I just recently started playing this game and am enjoying it very much and one of the coolest features in GW2 is the way the changing weapons can change your spell casting. I have finally decided on my profession as a Necromancer and I got the basic starter axe and did a quest to got an offhand. But lately I’ve noticed, and I’m sure it’s way to soon at level 4 to worry about this, but where do I find other weapons so I can learn what they do? I see other Necros at my level using them so I’m wondering, are they drops? Can they be bought? Are they crafted? PVP maybe? Or am I just being impatient and need to calm down lol. Any and all replies would be appreciated. Thank you

You can buy from the TP. The lion symbol on the top right.

the weapons do drop, can be bought, and can be crafted. Though I do suggest being patient. If you decide to go into crafting (I recommend it to supply a couple of quick levels along with keeping your equipment semi up-to-date) I’d wait until you are lvl 9 and half way to lvl 10. Otherwise, I suggest getting a pick, sickle, and axe to gather materials and sell, then buy the equipment from the Trading Post (our Auction House) after you hit lvl 10. Then buy/craft new equipment every 5 levels.

You will get all weapons as drops, don’t worry.

What I do with a new character is when I can, I buy all the weapons (I don’t already have) my profession can use, cheap white ones, and unlock all their skills. Then I play around with the various combinations until I find a combination or two that I like and then I buy higher quality versions of those, assuming I didn’t get them in drops by then.

There are actually Weapon Vendors near the starting area (A sword as an icon on the minimap)

But those only sell basic-quality weapons (white), and you can get both cheaper and better weapons from the Trading Post.
