Hey, I wonder if you can help me, I am looking for small/hidden events you rarely do/see
or need some kind of special trigger to be started. Bonus if those events lead to new areas of the map that you wouldn’t be able to enter without doing said event. I do know some events but I think I missed a lot of them.

It was a while since I was there. But there is a quite nice event in south west of Brisban Wildlands. You will especially apriciate it if you played GW1.

I am not so keen on the rewards I am more interessted in the hidden nature of those events, event chains or triggers. I need them for a little project.

There is one that spawns in a couple of zones. I’ve only happened on it once, near the Priory — if you see a trader’s wagon down on the snowy ledge before you turn left to the stairs up to the Priory, and talk to the people at it, you’ll end up in a fight. You can buy items that give you the loopy fireworks drunk effect, I think you must do so before you fight the merchant if you want them.

Sorry I don’t remember any key words to help find it on wiki.

Ah, the Modus Sceleri events. Yeah, one spawns near the Priory, another is in Fireheart Rise (don’t know the waypoint, but it’s the same event). There’s also one in FR on the east side, there’s like an initiation fight going on and you can activate it to fight in a battle royale. A similar one is in Lornar’s I believe, by the ettins in the south of the map. Just wiki Modus Sceleri, lots of weird stuff going on with them, wish they’d remember those guys x.x

I don’t know if this is exactly hidden and its just a single event. But there’s a Lagos Assassin that appears and attacks you in Frostgorge Sound. I have no clue what triggers it/what the timer on the event is, but it’s underwater and triggered for me bit north west of the jp at random times when swimming through. Roughly in between the Slough of Despond Waypoint and Ice Floe Waypoint.

Thanks to the train passing it by many times, I don’t think it is really hidden and its not really special. It spawns about every 3-4 passings of the train.

OP: it isn’t really hidden, although I had to be pointed to it, but have you ever been to the graveyard in the village of Shaemoor (Queensdale) by night. There is a really dense fog there then and one graveyard has a woman kneeling before it. When getting close she shows an eventmarker above her head to start it off. She asks you to escort her off the graveyard. What happens if you do??….well, don’t wanna spoil the surprise

Diessa Plateau mini dungeon – world boss (grants daily chest if you are 35+)

well its not that hidden, but most players probably never did it. because it got long meta event chain to access. and some knowledge about mini-dungeon

wiki recommends at least 8 players, tho 2 experienced are enough. also if you log off near boss, you can solo it for dailies later

P.S. its awesome to show for friends when introducing them to gw2

Flame temple tombs is soloable, you just need to carry the sword, kite all attacks, drop it to bubble fire heads, pick up, redrop to bubble 2 more, etc. the annoying part is more about getting it to open.

There’s also the champ spider cavern in the north side of… Kessex I think. Or maybe gendarran; the one under the perm rich plant node anyway.

Don’t forget to kneel at the statue of… Think it was dwayna, at the southwest of Harathi. It’s both a daily chest and the location of a perm rich iron ore.

There’s a heck load of events, some with emote triggers, hidden in the game. If you keep your eyes open and try everything you see, there’s a lot of hidden content. You can also try to solo everything you see. So far the only exceptions to this rule are some living story mobs, the 3 krait witches, and a couple of world bosses. Rewards will be bad relative to time, but it’ll be fun, and train you to master your class(es).

Lastly, don’t forget the treasure imps…
