Because I have an idea to use 1 of my offchars just to use b boosters on them and I’m not sure if it will work.

Yes and yes.
However if you enter certain areas like SAB in the past you would lose the buff. Right now I don’t think anything actually would remove it.

it’s activated at will, you can gather several boosters by just making a ton of characters and waiting 1 year

It lasts a long time, too. 24 hours? Enough to significantly affect your leveling for a good while. And that’s play time, it goes on hold when you log out.

Yes, xp and karma and wxp. Using it while farming EOTM is super efficient for gaining massive amounts of all of those with the booster. :P

Please take note, the item says it gives a boost to karma in its description, but the actual buff on you after activation does not list karma as one of the elements it boosts. This bug has been reported since it was released but it has not been fixed. It does not seem to give a boost to karma gained.

Here is one of the many reports that also includes screenshots showing the item description, the buff text and no karma increase from the same event prior to and after activating the booster.
