Hey guys
as I still need around 500k Karma for my Legendary after all the ascended crafting I would like to farm Karma.
I know that you can also get Obsidian Shards via Fractal Relics, Bauble Bubbles and Laurels but
a) I am almost finished with my Fractal Backpiece and I want to get that done first
b) I rather save my Laurels
I will have to get it via Karma.
Which ways to farm Karma do you know? Any numbers would be nice as well

PS: I am still cursing myself that I used my 2-3 millions of karma before the nerf in order to get some gold… if I ever knew that it would have been so hard to get Karma nowadays I wouldn’t have done that obviously -.-

At the moment you can get 3 Obsidian Shards from the chest for beating the Prime Hologram in Lion’s Arch. I’d definitely suggest hanging out there for much of this update.

Other than that, my biggest source of karma is Activities. You get 600 karma even for a failure, and considering most activities only take about 5 – 6 minutes, you can get 6000 – 10,000 (depending on your skill) in an hour.

Tequatl is also a great way to get karma if you’re on a server or a guild that beats him regularly. You get 12,000 karma for a successful kill, not counting the karma from the many Group Events you complete while fighting him. Use a karma booster + banners to increase this further.

WvW is also a good place to get karma, and fractals if you do a lower level than your PR.

You can play lower level fractals to get some good karma (and can work on some more fractal relics at the same time)

Also, I wear an amulet with a karma infusion all the time unless I’m in a high level fractal and need the extra AR (less so now that armor is out). If you do lots of events, it does add up over time.

In addition, if WvW is your thing, you can gain a good amount of karma from following a commander and going on a train. Lots of events in a fairly short amount of time, but you need to have a group running and capping at the time.

Also if you’ve been doing the last two LS events, you can trade in the Found Belongings for an Oby shar at a ratio of 50:1. Not the best, but its the only use I can think of for them.

WvW, Fractals, Tequatl. Seem to be the best methods. But I rather just visit lower level areas and wander around, helping players who might need help and do every event that’s on my way. It’s a pretty nice way of playing the game and can give you a decent amount of money aswell.

While the Battle for Lion’s Arch is still ongoing, the Found Belongings you get from the loot bags that drop from Scarlet’s minions can be used to buy Obsidian Shards in the refugee camps outside the city.

Banners, icecream (food booster for karma), karma boosters, world boss run move to WvWvW, then save all your found belongings turn them in for obi shards. I finished my legendary 2 weeks ago now and still my priority was still getting karma and obi shards just incase….

Running lower level fractals is currently one of the best ways to get karma.

And once you finish your fractal back, you can use the extra fractal relics you get to purchase obsidian shards.

Yeah I know the WvW Karma farming its just that i dont enjoy zerging so i am probably going to run fractals 20 daily instead of 29 for the 8k Karma and farm some activities – which are the fastest activities btw?
