Aer, we do have a handful of players on Oceanic times as well, and we seem to be getting more and more. We also have a lot of people who enjoy teaching dungeon paths of all descriptions, not just AC!

Okay, more on topic. First post updated with officer contacts to get in touch with for information.

We still run missions every Friday at 8:30 pm PST and Sunday at 11:30 am PST, and anyone is welcome to join us! Whisper an officer for details.

Name: whatever you want to call me really, I’ve answered to a good few in the past in LotRO. Usually whatever my main character was at a given time. Elathan works pretty well though, it’s an old nickname and is the name of my elementalist (however little he’s ever been used.)
Main character: uncertain at the moment, but would like to work on my necro. I do have a level 80 guardian, but I’m woefully bad with her.
Current region/server: Fissure of Woe (EU) but I will be changing to Gandara (EU.)
Interested activities: I’d like to do dungeon runs, and will be popping into WvW every so often. Levelling my necro will be happening at whatever pace I can manage. I’ll also be playing an engineer with a friend (who I’ll introduce to this thread when we’ve got the basics sorted, like what class he’s playing and how to travel between starter cities :p) It would be nice to have access to other low level/noob players for learning the game together.

Additional comments: Yeah, so I’m coming back to the game after approximately 9 months out of it (for personal reasons, rather than anything to do with the game itself,) and dragging a friend in with me for a bit of fun.

I was rubbish on my guardian and her gear was atrocious, but I try to listen and do my best. I have difficulty focusing on things though, so dungeons are strictly a casual thing for me – I don’t want to min/max, or play the meta (though no doubt some characters will fall into meta builds, just because I feel that’s what is best for them the way I play them.) I’m looking for something casual/relaxed, where there’s no pressure but that other people might be around to help out with things. However, I’ll not be totally reliant on the guild for everything – I’ve a couple of friends in the game who I’ll be hanging around with as well.

Like I say, I like the concept of this. I don’t know if you guys use anything like Teamspeak or other VOIP software, but if so I’m happy to log in to hang about. I may not say a lot, but I’ll be present. I’m from (Northern) Ireland, so my accent may be difficult for people anyway.

I expect to be back in game by Monday, since I’m waiting for a new computer to arrive and then have to download the game to it.

Elathan – that is the attitude we almost always take with dungeons, to just have fun with it. I’ve personally lead naked runs, runs on a bunker ranger because it’s funny to watch mobs bounce off me and things like that. Also, if you are looking to improve on how you use your guardian, there are lots of knowledgeable people about. Or you can even send me a PM and I’ll see about trying to improve your traits and gear to complement how you like to play (i.e. not a meta build).

Jagoten, don’t worry about not repping all the time, not our way of doing things.

Most of us play PvP as a pastime, but the Pugs plays at quite a high level in team queue. As for PvE, there are lots around who are willing to help and teach! It’s definitely a bit of different thing than PvE, including how to build up a character.

Isagel, I really believe the best class set-up is the one that suits the player. I run Mace/Focus a lot on my guardian, even in dungeons. There are many people about who are happy to teach dungeons and get you started! Even fractals are nothing to be scared of, below level 10 they are really a lot like any other dungeon, and they are a great way to earn yourself some 20 slot bags, even if you have no interest in leveling them up.
