Party Bonus Exist?
As far as I know the party is really just there to give you a chat and to track each other on the map.
If I’m wrong somebody do correct me!
well thats what i want to know too!! some people claim that they drop better stuff in party but i want someone to confirm it xd
My guess is, if you are in a party, it adds up the damage of the party i.e. you get bonus damage deal and kill from other party member. So you have a higher chance for loots and definitely much easy to get over the least damage required to get gold medal or get the loot in huge event with a lot of participants.
bump can a dev confirm this please? i want to know if its better to farm items in a party or alone thanks
Yes I to would like to know if there are any bonuses to grouping, in other games they would come right out and say yes you get this exp bonus with 2 people and this much exp bonus with 3 and it increases loot and all that to help give incentive to group but havn’t hears such talk about Guild Wars 2. I don’t usually group so doesn’t concern me much especially how this game is set up with the event system but if I did decide to run with a couple friends just would liek to know if there is any bonus to it.
The only bonus I am aware of is if you group with members of your guild, every event you do will have an amplified influence bonus based on each guild member that does the event.
Well, since you don’t split exp between players, you can kill a mob twice as fast for the same reward as if you did it alone. That’s a bonus, in a way.

^This. Since you get the same rewards regardless, you should do as much content as you can in a group.
“A release is 7 days or less away or has just happened within the last 7 days…
These are the only two states you’ll find the world of Tyria.”

but please someone confirm if the bonus exist or not
thanks
We haven’t heard anything about such a feature, and I’m pretty certain ANet wouldn’t like the idea of adding a mechanic that forces(force in the sense of having to fake being social to play at peak efficiency) between strangers. I’m glad there’s nothing encouraging or discouraging being social in GW2 if you don’t want to – well, apart from dungeons and guilds, but I can understand why those demand multiple players. The social part is covered by the guild system, which can grant you all kinds of bonuses to you and your friends. I’m okay with that too, because it takes more commitment to be part of a guild than part of a temporary party. The likelyhood of players joining a guild just for the mechanic bonuses on average is a lot smaller than the amount of people that would spam invite others just to get more loot/exp at an event.
hmm ur right i think party doesnt matter when it comes to farming then
I do think party gives an advantage in looting. At Shelter’s waypoint in cursed shore, we tend to get many more lootable corpses in a party. As an aside, I also got many more rares when partying, but I’m inclined to think that could have just been natural variance/luck.
I think when you’re in a party, your groupmates’ damage counts as the “minimum damage” needed to loot a target. When waves of risen run at us, I was able to loot many more corpses when my groupmates did damage beside me.
I may be wrong, but so far the results look really promising.
well ive tried to farmw ithout party and with party and definitely is better with a party
