Ok all I’m having a little dilemma about what I want to do next. I have a level 80 engi and guard. I main a engi but have a major love hate relationship with it.

I’m at the point where I am not sure what is next for it. Yes I have some map completion to get done but that’s easy.

I want a long term project do I push for ascended on my engi and enjoy what it brings to groups. Or level a ranger and try something different.

Your wisdom and help will be greatly recived.

I say do both, if you have the time. Between doing the the things you have to do for your ascended gear you can run a ranger around. Just don’t use longbow 4 when people are meleeing!

Why not do both? As you level a ranger you can get many of the lower tier mats needed for ascended. That way you kill two birds with one stone.

And once you get the Ranger to 80, it doubles your chances of getting some bits needed. They are also both medium armor, so they can share a suit if common stats can be found.

Everything the others said and double for LB4….

Well engineers are not typically useful in fractals and I would take other classes 100% of the time.

I would level the ranger, I actually find them kinda fun to play (I also just ignore the pet completely, lol)

Why not do map completion on the engi and dailies on a ranger for EXP and laurels

Then flip a coin for who gets the Ascended gear! GL.
