I have a full set of karma gear that I put perplexity runes in and was wondering, is there anyway I can salvage those runes back out? I won’t be using this armor anymore and didn’t want to loose all those coins I put into it.

You can always try it, and if you do I recommend using a Black Lion kit. However, I don’t think it’s possible.

You can’t salvage karma gear directly. But there is a work around.
1: get a regular level 60 (or above) gearpiece of the same kind and a transmutation crystal
2: transmutate the rune to the level 60 gearpiece
3: This is now salvagable. Use a BL salvage kit to peel the rune off.

Haven’t done it in a while. Have you run into trouble and if so, what was it??

Isn’t it cheaper to re-buy the rune set?

6 Perplexity runes, 15g?

or

10 transmute crystals, 30.5g

And that’s if you don’t need to spend 300 more gems (28g?) on the bl kits

You also lost the armour set, heaven forbid you had any good skins.

Also, this still works, as long as you choose the level 60+? item as the one for the “stats” and “appearance”

Also, I just noticed the date, it may have been cheaper at the time to do this. If I didn’t care about the armour itself, it may be worth using this method for traveller or divinity rune sets.

You can transmuation crystals also for free if you farm BL-keys or as a rare reward for doing daily/monthly. Many people don’t care bout looks of armor and never use those crystals. I even know someone who saw this as a perfect way to transfer karma to gold.
