Spartan warrior
I’m pretty sure the spartans were human :p
Charr.
They have a military structure based on the Roman Empire legions, with many influences from Spartan education of children. It’s the closest you will get to Sparta IMHO.
Norn don’t know/don’t want to know about militar organizations, they’re more on their own and while they will fight together against a common threat, they lack Charr military focus.
About the profession, I would say Warrior (you said it in your last line :P). A Guardian might work too given how they based their formation on supporting each other to make everyone stronger. I think either would work well but for a Charr a Warrior is more thematic (for Charrs, not for Spartans if you don’t care about the race influences and go for that archetype any of those 2 would work well). You can pick the elite skill that summons 2 Charrs so you have your Spartan unit (3 instead of 300… but they’re Charr :P).
There are many round and tower shields to chose: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gallery_of_shields
My favorite Tower shield if you not neccesarily need a round one is the recently added Guild Tower Shield: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild_Tower_Shield

Human
Warrior
I would choose this set (maybe no helmet):

/cheers
There you go.
Doesn’t get more spartan
Nice, where are the pieces from?
As for race/prof…well there is no ancient greek based culture so go human or pic your fav. For prof, i’d say guardian, its got that whole fight as a unit thing going for it, and sucks at range!
vigil head, i think karma shoulders/chest
vigil boots+gloves
arah legs,
lion gaurd shield , and the sword eludes me atm
There you go.
Doesn’t get more spartan
This is the closest but even this doesn’t work… Warfare in Greece during classical antiquity was based around hoplites and the phalanx formation. You cannot be a hoplite in game because the only spear available is underwater and two-handed. Hoplites are far more of a definiting criteria than bronze afterall, the most popular armour was a linen cuirass (linothorax), not bronze.
Dang now I gotta go and watch 300 again… I musta missed the bit with Char running fur first into them baddies… I need to pay closer attention to what I am watching in future … just out of interest before I go running off to buy the DVD, are you sure it was 300 or “Meet the Spartans” you were watching???

The boots/gloves are not Vigil pieces.
Helm: Vigil
Shoulders: Dark Armor from Karma Vendors in Orr
Chest: Dark Armor from Karma Vendors in Orr
Legs: Arah as mentioned
Boots: Caudecus Manor
Gloves: Human Cultural Tier 2
Shield: Lionguard as mentioned
Sword: I believe that is the Orrian sword but not 100%
Sword = Legionnaire
However, I think Honor of Humanity would fit better since its a Gladius.
I searched some, i red a few thing on gw wiki and.. first replys, then conclusions. Long post incoming
@Iruwen You’re right, i forgot the obvious one, i just wanted to go with something big and scary, but now i’m sure i should go human. Thanks!
@Lokheit Charr was the best opinion for me, because of the story, but first i want it to really look like a spartan, so i should go human. But i definitely i will play a charr too, i wont miss that story. Thank you!
@LHound It looks good, i like that red, but i need their cape, their helmet, like you said too :P and.. it is too heavy, im sure the final armor will be with pieces from far more different sets. I appreciate, thank you!
@Red Falcon That looks amazing, i think i can already hear him shouting “This is Sparta!” xD Really nice, thank you!
@infrequentia, CelebrityX, SneakyErvin, thank you guys for the armor specifications, i really need this! Especially CelebrityX who looks that he knows many things about this game.
@Cameirus I dont know, profession is an important thing that i’m still missing. To be fair, guardian is on top, but it is really the right decision?.. hes quite slow in combat. I need to think about it, thank you!
@Bloodstealer 300 is the best because it is an action movie more than a historical one, so it reveals thier combat moves closer and better in bloody fights.
@sinzer Now i know i cant get that, its a shame, but i’m looking for their sword, it was like this: spartan sword I really appreciate your opinion, thank you!
I made a few decision till now, i will go as human, looking for RedFalcon vision set, still im not sure about the shield and weapon.
For now i really need to decide about the profession. Guardian or Warrior. Tough decision.
I think Warrior is a better fit. A Banner Warrior gives you the closest thing to a Spear on land right now, and has that element of tactical group support which is a better fit than a Guardian’s magical group support.

I second this.
I still want them to bring out spears on land that you can use with a shield. It’d make my day.
It also depends if you mean historical or mythic when considering the ancient Greeks. If historical, the warrior might be a better fit, with their non-magical attacks. If you are going for a mythic fighter that has some magic in his attacks, the Guardian is a better fit.
In terms of strategy, the warrior is a bit more a straight ahead, charge in DPS class. But the Guardian can be made more of a strategic, battle-controlling area denier depending on choice of weapons and skills.
There you go.
Doesn’t get more spartan
While I like your look, I don’t think Spartans would have worn so much plate. And the butt skirt doesn’t looks very Spartan-like either. A loose cape on the shoulders would make more sense. Also, the sword is too fantasy themed. They would have more likely wielded something like the AC sword (when not glowing, ofc).
If you REALLY REALLY want that “300” version of a spartan feeling while playing go play around with the warden class in LOTRO. While not a good game and generally it kept going downhill that class alone became the only joy for me for a long while. You will get the feeling that you are an invincible god of spartan warfare though while using a spear/shield, it just isnt very realistic.
Here comes the legend

I decided to stick with the warrior, i hope i made a good decision.
I tried to get the right colors from the beginning, but i cant really know how they’ll fit my final armor set. ^^

Looks too heavy. This seems more Spartan or Roman to me
Human with vigil heavy armor is the closest you get
Spartan Skin with near to the historically accurate dye color (From left to right: The 300 Spartan, The historically accurate Spartan Hoplite armor, The historically accurate Spartan Hoplite armor with a near the historical size of the aspis shield of 1 meter in diameter.)

Exact.
