*Spoiler* Help Me Get Over This!
While I totally agree, I was much more broken up about Sieran. sniff why are they so awesome?! Why do we have to love them?!
And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?
Our blood has bought their lives.
Well at least we got Trahearn in their place right, right?
Sam [Beirne] why’d you have to go?!
Tegwen, why’d you leave me?!
And this is why we need Personal Story missions to be repeatable. Normally when a fictional character I like dies I tell myself it’s ok because I can go back and see them again any time I want, but this time it’s not an option.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I miss Sieran, too.

I bought a Tybalt plush backpack. I had to put it on my Priory character, because it’d be weird wearing a plush backpack of your dead friend, but wearing one of the nice guy who sells apples in the market is just… somehow more normal. Anyway, the backpack makes me happy because I know in some personal stories he’s still alive.
It sucks because the mentors, all 3 of them, are by far the most interesting characters you meet through the personal story… And then they’re replaced by super bland salad boy in one of the most pathetic “sacrifices” I’ve ever seen…
It might have eased the blow if the rest of the story was full of equally endearing characters.
It might have eased the blow if the sacrifice itself seemed even somewhat justifiable instead of a completely arbitrary suicide.
Could have. Should have. Didn’t. And thus that mission marks the turning point where the personal story goes stupid.
