I am still in the beginning area after over a half-hour. My two friends of other races and classes got in and are playing already. What’s going on? Is it normal to hang out for 45 minutes waiting to do a quest?!

You don’t need to wait, unless something bugged out.

Did you talk to the npc with the green star on their head?

The Great Hunt lets you pick your prey, maybe you are stuck there?

It has to be bugged. There are many other players there waiting to hunt the big boss and the gates won’t open. I waited over 45 minutes. I gave up and made a human warrior and finished the beginning part in less than five minutes.

LOL, well now my human warrior has gone invisible for no reason. This is not an auspicious start to this game. :-(

Nah, don’t worry, that sometimes happens, its a bug.

You are being very unlucky with this stuff happening to you on your first day, generally the gaming experience is reasonably smooth.

maybe the influx of new peeps is causing problems.

The starter instances sometimes bug and won’t finish. Sometimes guesting to another server to get onto a different instance will get around the problem.
