What are the best ways to level up?
There is no reason to rush to lvl80.
When you become lvl30, you have access to do all contents the game offers you.
The point of lvling to 80 is so you have access to explore higher level areas doing the contents you enjoy while getting the Weapons/Armor skins you want!
Contents such as:
((Dynamic Events))
((Personal Story))
((Story Dungeons))
((Explorable Dungeons))
((Open World Dungeons))
((Fracticl of Mists))
((Jumping Puzzles))
((Vista Challenge))
((Skill Challenge))
((Minigames))
((Guild Bounty))
((Guild Puzzles))
((Guild Rush))
((Guild Challenges))
((Gatherings))
((Crafting))
((Super Adventure Box))
((Live Story Events))
((Achievment Activities))
((WvWvW))
((T-PvP))
etc.
There is literarily so much to do!
Just explore the game and have fun enjoying the GW2 experience!
Also another tip:
If you think about leveling, it takes longer!!! Trust me!
Just don’t think about it! =)
Thanks, but I was wondering what things in the game provide the most xp?

Dynamic events and Dungeons.
and World boss.
But just do everything and you’ll enjoy the game and level fast.
Keep in mind, being lvl80 only means you can explore higher level areas doing contents you’ve been doing already while getting the weapons/armor skins you want.
Any reason why you are rushing?
Thank you for the information. The reason why I would to like to reach level 80 as fast as possible is because my guild is wanting to do events, however they would like me to be 80 so I can participate in them, since it would make things easier and allow us to explore more.

You say “Events” but what do you mean by that?
“Events” = Dynamic Events
“Hearts” = Heart Tasks
“Vista” = Vista challenge
“Dungeons” = Dungeons
etc.
Your guildies and friends can play with you by exploring areas appropriate at your level.
They can enjoy doing events with you as you guys progress together.
By exploring to lower level areas, your level is scaled down so you can still get rewarded by playing with friends regardless of the level.
If there is a specific content you plan on doing, like a lvl80 dungeon, You do not need to worry about it. You can start doing dungeons at lvl30 and gain experience how dungeons work as you progress.
Not sure what else to say.
Lytro, what level are you? You can ask for help from guildies to do the story mode of Ascalon Catacomb (level 30), the explorable mode (35) and story mode of Caudecus Manor (40). They’ll give you roughly 4/5 level upon completion of each run. It’s quick if you can get an exp’d group to help.

Doing map completion is a fast and easy way to level. Just grabbing POIs, WPs, vistas, and skill points gives a good bit of XP. You’d be surprised how much XP you can get even if you skip the hearts.
The hearts give an even better chunk of XP.
And doing an explorable path of a dungeon will give you 70% of a level.
I have found (at lvl 30, anyway) that doing the champion train in Queensdale gives roughly 1/3-1/2 a level per run. I enjoy grinding, so doing this for hours is not a problem for me. It’s a great way to get gear, level your luck, and gain experience!
Here’s a map that explains it if you’re interested: http://imgur.com/AX8eI0c
Just zone in to Queensdale and ask where the zerg is. Join up with them, then follow the map. Enjoy!
Once u have a lv80, its actually really easy to level an alt. Find a fast dungeon, since they all give 75% exp upon completion (more at lower lvls). Then switch to your alt near the end to get the exp. This is the method I used when map exploration got a bit tedious for me. Its like turning on ‘easy mode’ for lvling. Don’t be a total scrub though; map exploration, hearts, and events are still a good idea. I wish I could say it wasn’t boring as kitten but I’d be lying through my teeth. Just make a goal, say 20% more towards map completion, then take a break, then same thing again. Heck if it’s gonna be a chore, at least make it a useful one—two birds with one stone and all.

wat
1) Complete all of your personal story missions up to your current level (or a couple below.)
2) Find a zone in your level range. Start at the low end of the zone and grab all hearts/POIs/vistas/waypoints. Along the way gather and kill everything you see. Complete every event you can. Have a food buff (+10xp per kill) active and an XP booster too if you have some. Work your way up to the high end of the zone. Complete the zone for extra rewards.
3) Rinse-repeat until level 80.

World boss event chains are very effective to gain XP time-wise. Examples:
1. The Maw (from grawl attacking to the defeat of the boss, like 6 events)
2. Modniir (from defending the camp to the defeat of the boss, like 4 or 5 events); this chain gives you a lot of loot bag as well.
Be sure to always have food active, since you get 10XP per kill from any food. Use XP boosters if you have them. I would also recommend exploration since that way you get 2 things done, working towards 100% and leveling; and it’s always useful to have as many WPs as possible so you can travel faster. You should also always carry gathering tools since each gathering gives you XP. Do all events you find.
WvW is an awesome way to level and it’s pretty fun – you should give it a try.
If you do PvP, use Glory to get Scrolls of Knowledge (or w/e they’re called), which give you one level each.
Always do dailies and monthlies, they give a nice amount of XP.
Crafting gives you about 10 levels per profession brought to 400, but they cost a bit. See guides such as gw2crafts.
