I started playing the game a month ago and easily leveled to the max level of 80 but i’m not sure what the goal is. I understand that I can scale down to lower zones, and do all the hearts/jumping puzzles/waypoints but that is very boring. Pvp is a 35 second suicide and the WvW is too confusing, is there anything else to GW2 ?

First off, welcome to GW2! Here are some basics you should learn. Incoming wall of text.
Firstly, there is a huge difference between the combat here and the combat in WoW and most other MMOs. A few things of note:
The combat in this game is much more action-oriented- you can avoid attacks by strafing and dodging as you fight, and using skills to counter enemy attacks. It’s more important to avoid attacks than to heal them. You can avoid attacks via blind, blocks, teleports, and evades/dodges. Every class also has their own healing skill, which is your #6 slot.
There is no healer/tank/DPS trinity. Everyone is responsible for their own survival, for DPSing the enemy, for coordinating support and control to make fights more manageable.
Your success in this game depends largely on your skill as a player, rather than your gear.
I highly recommend giving this a read: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/GW2-Combat-system-101-Guide/first
In addition, GW2 is highly unlike WoW in many other respects. The game’s meant to be more of a journey- you take your time and enjoy the process of leveling, explore to your heart’s content, and when you hit 80, there aren’t tiers of raids and gear to chase one after the other. You pretty much find what you enjoy doing and do it.

PVE : There is a lot of stuff to do here. Personal Story, Map Completion, Jumping Puzzle, Dungeon, Min-Dungeons, Achievement Hunting, Living World, etc. The content like everything is limited, so once you did it once, you need to repeat it. Some like, some dislike.
sPvP : Small battle between a limited amount of player. Usually the best you can do about fairness, everybody is equal and usually the numbers are equals. So if you are bad there, its only because you are bad. Short and intense fight.
WvW : Its more strategic and organized fight are a lot more about cooperation and organization than pure individual skill. But you have the issues of unfairness in some ways. Ppl don’t all have the same level, the same quality of gear, buffs, and numbers. Some view this as lame unfair PvP, while other view it as a strategic decision for concentration of power. Victory is part strategic movement on the map to make sure you have the advantage.

How deep you gonna go into these 3 fields is on you. And of course there is the aspect of building a character. Getting the gear, stats, and look you want for 1 or more character is a big part of any MMO.

Rather than think of GW2 as having an end goal (in the over arching story there is but that’s another topic) but approach as a series of activities. You might log in and do some dungeons, some map exploration, some crafting, hanging out in a town and chatting with people, wardrobe-ing your character. That sort of thing. I’ve got 5 chars to 80 and I do a mix of stuff with most of them. Often times it’s fractals other times it’s harvesting materials for ascended crafting.

It’s not a sandbox game but there’s a big enough world that there’ll be something to do somewhere
