Guild Wars 2

I played gw2 only for a couple weeks when it first came out, and now I’d like to start it up again. The problem is that I know literally nobody who plays, but I know from my gw1 experiences that sometimes your guild / people you meet online can become some of the people you’re closest with.

Right now I’m on Gate of Madness…. and even though it’s an ‘extremely high’ population, I feel 100% alone most of the time haha. I can’t find anyone to help with events / do them with me, can’t find a single guild to join, much less a good one, etc etc etc….

Anyone have any advice? I know that the majority of the player base has probably moved out of the ‘starter zones’ so that’s probably part of the problem, but I would really like to have some guildies around to chat with / help/ etc.

Any advice / suggestions?

Tarnished Coast has a really nice community (I might be a little biased, however, since Ive been on TC since beta). You can guest first to check it out before you decide to transfer.

As far as guilds go, look through the guild section of this forum. Check out those that have posted details about what they are/do/require/etc, or even make a post in the Looking for Guild section detailing what you seek in a guild (pve/pvp/pvx, RP. Small/Medium/Large, etc) and offers will come in. Look through what there are and see what seems like a good fit.

I have also been on Tarnished Coast since the beta’s but I’m still going to have to recommend it, its a brilliant community for the most part, plenty of nice guilds, and even on the lower level maps, I am always able to find other players who want to party up and chat whilst exploring and levelling up.

We also love our WvW most of the time and usually have plenty of people over there if that’s your thing.
