was wondering if anyone could point the way on how to survive at lvl 80 i constantly die and it mustr be my build or how im playing. im a warrior one of them short guys and i dont know if i should be using signets or what skills/triats to be using or what. my gear is ascolinian armor bought with tears and i still die alot

not sure what i need a build guide or game[play guide or where to find this stuff

PS: Just wondering, how did you get yourself to 80 without any information about your profession?

For PVE: My friend runs a variation on the signet build (full signets, +Prec trait with full exotics +Power/Prec gear) that works well on everything except Champions due to their high health/def. On those mobs though, we usually duo them as I can keep his swiftness/HP up and perform ranged revives as necessary (as an L80 Engineer).

For PVP: I couldn’t really say, we’re both on different servers (started gaming together post-pay transfers) so I don’t know how well his build does in WvWvW.

If you’re a warrior and can’t survive “anything” at 80 you should try something entirely different. We have far too many survivability and support skills to feel squishy. Can you give more details exactly about what you’re doing, your build, spec, etc.?

First, what’s important about equip is 1) if it’s exotic/rare etc? 2) What’s stats you have on them like power+thoughness+vitality etc.

Just wild guess, but are you using by any chance the rare equip you can get from dungeon and not exotic one?

I went with full pow/pre/crit dam and ended up dying… constantly.

Switched to Draconic armour with pow/prec/tough and it’s a world apart. I don’t lose any prec and my survivability is ten times what it was (or seems so!). Bad part of this, is that the entire set cost just over 22G.

Also, Superior Runes of the Dolyak on your clothing help a ton.

I trioed AC Path 1 and CM Asura path with my warrior friend, the third person being a thief and then another elementalist. Another warrior not too long ago soloed the hardest boss in the game. Neither of them were tank builds, and the latter warrior was full glass.

Are you moving around and actively avoiding damage? Or are you standing still and eating all the hits? Doing the latter gets you killed over and over in GW2.
