1 reason skyhammer shouldn't be in solo q
Well devs said that is what makes that map “fun” and not “boring”. Yeah, they are actually proud of those panels and map design in generall.

The problem in general is that the new maps by ANET are gimmicky and not balanced. Give us good maps for fights in the spirit of forest, forefire, and khylo.

Well, they have been updating only pve and they make the game better only for pve players. Like if we didn’t buy the game, like we got it for free so they don’t have to do anything for us… There is so much that needs to be changed and there are tons of threads with recommendations regarding the pvp balance, classes are somewhat balanced but that matchmaking needs some work and also we need a way to punish leavers and afk-ers. How hard is to put an option in a report panel that says “afk in a match” or “leaver”…come on, they are not even trying…
My reason: It’s the worst PvP map i have played in ANY game ever.
+1 for 3v3 or 2v2 deathmatch

agreed, imho they tried too hard to make skyhammer unique.
sorry Anet but we don’t want unique, we want more maps like foefire,
3 bases, nice and simple and perhaps a secondary objective like the lord thrown in.
screw your cannons and death falls, we want a simple, balanced pvp arena.
with the exceptions of water combat and NPCs, skyhammer is everything we don’t want in a pvp map.
i guess i should pick my one reason XD
i’ll go for the fact that it requires a whole other class and build setup,
this means it should NOT be in the same queue as the other maps
The map is also sooooo bugged
- can’t use stun breaks like shadow step since you are still stuck in place
- get obstructed all the time on side points and cannon platform
- get in combat by attacking absolutely nothing at cannon and side platform
- not to mention that you still take fall dmg when you are not even standing on glass platform
- you get ported under the map when you load in
Anet? Too proud of their bugged badly designed heavily engi favored map to remove it from soloq.

I agree the map should be removed but you 100% woulda lived if your reaction time wasnt snail speed. (stunbreaks stop the pull)
Dude, l2p and always expect the (un)expected to happen.
Solo queue is ranked hotjoin and team queue is now solo queue with a few exceptions. That said I do not like playing on skyhammer as it is tedious but do not care anymore either. If I had to give a reason for the devs to remove or rework it it is the terrible pathing which makes blink abilities useless and therefore you get pulled once as a thief or mesmer on sidenodes your teleport will still put you on the edge of the platform and you still will fall.

This happens a lot as well. Normally you’d want to send a bug report but mid-game it’s kind of hard to do. I just relog when I get stuck on skyham.

this happens a lot, even if glass is not broken, the game just can’t decide where you are apprently and you get stuck

How can skyhammer not yet be dodgeable?
Because platforms randomly don’t open at times
Because people can be stuck mid air hovering over an open platform
Because I never understood if downed players on a platform even fall or not
Because 1/10 you don’t die when you fall down and you have to fight the worms
Because I once won the game by getting pushed off and magically reappearing on the node, preventing the decap and winning the game
Because on mid point camera angles are messed up
Because jump pads do not jump high enough when in combat
Because jump pads take too long for to reactivate
Because skills randomly obstruct in many places when clearly it’s line of sight
Because 1/4 when entering the portal the game decides you double tap it and have to wait a kittenton of time but it doesnt even make sense because you shouldnt be able to double tap the portal because of its internal cooldown
Because the calibrating-hammer-pre-match glitch still isnt fixed (WHY??)
Because when pulling people with for example scorpion wire, people sometimes randomly bounce on the open platform into the air helping them escape the fall
Because need i say more?
