So I wanted to try participating in some pvp event and decided to sign in as a free agent as stated in this official forum post but I cannot find any option to do so, it asks me to fill in team details. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong, can someone help me with it?

Yeah, I’m in the same boat, with both of the tournaments, Academy Gaming Weekly and AspectGG Pug Quest. One of which tells you you have to go to some other site now. If anyone can post an explaination/guide to these, it’d be appreciated.

Under the Free Agents rules it states..

“All free-agent players must report to the Academy Gaming Teamspeak server (meatyfrog [dot] com:1337) by 5:00pm Pacific/8:00pm Eastern; failure to do so will result in you not being put on to a team.”

You no longer register if you’re a free agent. We will register for you so long as you show up at the designated time.

And yes, skullmount, we changed websites for registration because digitalprosports.com allows for more versatility on our end and much simple signups.

Once on either of those pages, you scroll down to the events listed. Click on any upcoming tournament you wish to play in. The tournaments will have titles and dates.

After doing that, you should see a JOIN button around the top left.
Hopefully that helps.

And you might want to have Anet change it again. Getting a 404 page (Foo! Quaggan cannot find page!) from the new link on the website. which definitely isn’t an actual page (should just be www.digitalprosports.com/ ) .

You missed the first like where it says:

“Signing up as a free agent puts you under a strict ruleset that must be followed in order to participate.”

But then it doesn’t say how to sign up or explain what those rules are. Yes I understand that once you sign up you need to get there on time and follow the strict ruleset. There’s no FAQ, no Contact Us or information besides that small paragraph.

I’m guessing tichorum is one of the folks who help set up these events so if showing up is all you need to do in order to sign up, then it needs to clearly state that. Stating that you sign up for something implies that you register beforehand and that’s where the OP and I both are confused.

What is this strict ruleset? Doesn’t mention that either. Are the only rules regarding getting to teamspeak in time? That doesn’t seem like a rule*set* just a rule. Am I being nitpicky? Maybe. But I really hate it when you’re trying to sign up for something and it is extremely unclear about the process and in no way explains everything.

Free Agent participants must adhere to a strict ruleset. [include link to rules]

The words under “Free Agents” is the strict ruleset. Why is it strict? Because if you’re not on time, you won’t be put onto a team.

The ruleset being that you show up on teamspeak as a free agent .The rest is implied that you’re online, etc.

There really aren’t many rules…the only rule is to be on teamspeak. It is what it says. It’s all there. Just takes a read.

I apologize that it states “ruleset” rather than “rules”. There used to be a ruleset but they were removed and the word stayed as is.

Then why does it say that you sign up? Yes I’m being nitpicky and understand that you don’t sign up.

But the website http://www.digitalprosports.com/ says you sign up. Then doesn’t say how to sign up. If it was correct in the first place this thread would not exist.

So whomever is responsible for the website http://www.digitalprosports.com/ needs to fix the wording and clarify that you do not need to sign up but instead need to just show up to teamspeak on time.

Signing up referring to be placed onto a team. You used to signup and rules are still be switched over to our new system.

Thank you for the clarification and I’m sorry if I came across in any way as rude but just wanted you to realize where the miscommunication is stemming from.

Can you please notify the webmaster to fix the wording to be clear?

This wording on the event information page would be much more clear (in my opinion)…

Okay… probably a stupid question. The instructions now say “Free agents will register as a team, only enter their own account name into the field and leave the rest of the form blank”

I did that, but then the confirmation said it would send me an email confirmation (but I didn’t put in an email address as it said leave other fields blank). Is that fine that my submitted form doesn’t have an email address?

Yes that is fine. Generally speaking..fill in your information, then leave the rest empty. Regardless, reading the Free Agent rules in its entirety is more important than your email address since it states instructions for proceeding beyond registration.

You do not need to signup this week since it was originally not clear. However, I send out PM reminders 15 minutes before you must be on Teamspeak to those that do sign up.

Was fun even though we only won the first bracket. Got reckt pretty much in second bracket. Definitely gonna try this again next week.

Four out of five of the free agent teams made it to the second round. That is really solid considering all other teams were full premades. Nothing to be discouraged about!

Oh, ok. So I shouldn’t start looking until next week then for 3-8th place reward.

Was definitely a different experience playing on a coordinated (even though we were a full free agent team, I think) instead of as a solo queue player. Looking forward to next weeks tournament (and this time will signup on the website ).
