Well first of all, this is my opinion to this thread about balancing pvp https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Balancing-GW2.

My opinion is that hotjoins should be changed to 5vs5 just like tourneys if you don’t want so many useless threads about what’s overpowered and what’s underpowered.

If you want the community to really help you out, you can’t go for 2different maps and ask people to tell you what’s strong or not since you will have different metas on each map, and 8 players is just too much for the current map size, but I guess you figured that out by yourselves since you’ve made 5vs5 tourneys and not 8vs8(That’s why I don’t understand how you chose differenz seizes). One of the main issues is that with 8people there are so many players, and such a mess around you that glass cannon builds end up being really strong since they burst you down really quick, none of this happens in tourneys because you can actually control what’s around you and glass cannon builds have no effect because of the low defense.

This measure should help you create a more uniform PvP balance.

Sorry for my non-native english.

mmm something that could be solved by changing your build but oh well if you just want to do one thing maybe it is a good idea that they change the whole game…

I Agree with you. Player numbers can play a significant role in balance.

Well it has nothing to do with my build. Most people say hotjoins is nothing serious, it’s just to practice builds you can use in tourneys they say, well how am I supposed to practice builds for tourneys if the player number is not even the same? I might have a build that is effective in tourneys and that reveals uneffective in hotjoins.
