I find it funny how they just ignore the main thing killing pvp in this game. The broken Leaderboards…. Decay is kittened and we all know it. All you have to do is NOT PLAY FOR A MONTH (meaning ppl are playing second accounts) and come back and play one game WIN OR LOSE and you will shoot up in rank

The least anet could do is atleast recognize the problem but instead they cover their ears and yell

and hope the problem goes away lol

So ya i felt this prolly more than anyone i spent weeks playing non stop in solo q getting up to around 350 games played, going on a nearly 50-0 win streak to finally pass up the rank 1 spot (who was 14-0 at the time lol) only to find that a few days later his decay kicked in forcing him (wakkey) to play 1 more game WHICH HE LOST!!! and What do ya know Apparently when you lose a game after decay kicks in it Anet finds it necessary to GIVE HIM BACK RANK 1….

So i log in a few days after getting rank 1 and what do i see 14-1 RANK 1 Wakkey kicking me off first place

So what do i do? Q up again to take whats mine back and get put into 4-5 and lose….

(BTW EASIEST FIX EVER FOR 4v5s ADD AN ARE YOU READY BUTTON WHEN THE Q POPS IF THEY DONT CLICK YES THEN FIND SOMEONE WHO IS READY…. ITS OBV THAT PPL WONT STICK AROUND IN THESE 20 MIN Q’s) anet needs to get a kittening clue

Anyways I dont think ill be getting lucky with another 50-0 win streak any time soon again to take rank 1 back. from the 14-1 player cause we all know he deserves it
THX ANet maybe i should be smarter and wait a month for decay before playing solo q agian that way i can lose a game and shoot up in rank… Btw this happens all the time with team q too

One thing that I have come to realize is that many things that Anet does are broken, misguided, or completely out of touch with what players want. I 100% believe that their intentions are good, but the problem is we are a tiny sliver of the population and on top of that, we make them no money at all. There is no way that a leaderboard (even though it is 100% garbage and would have been better to have never been put in place) is going to be high enough on the radar to fix.

Let me put it this way. If Anet had to decide between fixing a clipping issue with an NPCs armor over fixing leaderboards, assuming they both take the same time/resources, you better believe that PVE NPC would get fixed first.

Another thing is that this October 15th patch is heading in the right direction, but with so many changes, I expect 20% of them to be broken, and some huge game-breaking bug be introduced.

What anet doesnt understand along with alot of other games is that pvp doesnt just make you money off the get go.. It takes money to make money so to speak and this is something i dont think they understand with pvp. Btw im tired of this bullkitten excuse that pvp doesnt make them money ITS ONE GAME money made from pve should be put into pvp its not like its a differnent game.

But i guess try explaining that to the fat fukc business man running the show

I made this thread about 4 times so far asking them to confirm that they are aware of this issue. Thus far, they have never said in any format that they realise leaderboards are broken and that they intend to fix them.

Leaderboards ARE rewards. It is fun to see where you are. They should fix them rather than adding pve type rewards to pvp

I will say it again. Forget the forums here. They are pointless. Anet doesn’t listen or respond.

Leaderboards have never worked at any stage in this game it seems. Its been 6 months of failed implementation and nothings been fixed. Anet’s response is something like this video – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdZ9weP5i68.

Don’t play for a month, come back and lose a game and you’re front page of the leaderboards, hoorah!

People have flocked to MMOs without leaderboards.
People were leaving GW2 before there were even leaderboards.

I think the game is just distateful and leaderboards are kinda like an extra kick in the crotch to anyone who wants to put all that asside and still try their very bestest to like the game.

GW2 wishes its main issue was leaderboards.
