Any interest in a "How to PvP" thread/sticky?
A-net needs to step up and include a proper tutorial. Heck QQ more. net already has quite a few pointers they could take. I know that a lot of things cannot be learned like learning for a history test. But outlining the bare basics and forcing players to think critically can get u a long way.
Rotations:
>Outline the most basics rotational strategies used by Pro teams per map and explain the tought behind it
>Explain common rotational errors.
>Explain the factors needed to include in your decision on how to rotate
Dueling:
>Update all NPC’s to it’’s current meta builds pve style.
>Allow for simulated fights against said npc’s on points to simulate a battle as good as possible. reveal the npc’s cooldown’s traits and skills. and give a description of all skills used, utilities and traits.
>Allow difficulty settings and various challenges the player can work with
>Give a small description about said builds primary use and general counters to them
Just a few ideas of the cuff
Been banging this drum for awhile.

I’ll see what I can do about getting something that’s more up to date stickied. It would certainly help to keep it updated!
I used to run the Academy Gaming tournaments for GW2.

That would be fantastic. I’m still looking for help with cleaning up the rotation thread. It’s not my strong suit and don’t want to lead anyone astray with poor editing.

Those topics are not easy to cover just by some random advice from pvp veterans.
You need some ESL caliber players to give advice.
90 percent of advice given by those who thought they are decent is actually not that good.
the problem with making rotation guide is that each game is dynamic, in queue class stack, and the majority have no way to communicate other than pings and what they can manage to type during combat.
another problem to add onto it all is that you would have to teach each and every class match up, otherwise rotations are worthless or detrimental.
the game is very dumbed down for ease of entry, but if we are talking proper play, the game is VERY complex and requires not only the mechanical skill to succeed, but also the insight AND foresight to properly combat the enemy team.
