Autofacing

this would fix the annoying channelled skills issue also
but they’re a lot stronger
than they will be next year!
We should have an in-game pointer that controls which direction we are aiming. Add this to the ranger and they’ll actually require precision.

Yeah LOL
Good luck with that..Havent you got it yet? This game is made for extreme casuals.I would be fine if spirit ranger stopped ceased to exist..
And then we will need Optical Scope on Longbow, Rifle, and Staff.
Anet please make it happened.

Then we can have head shots in the game too for more crit dmg.

Of course we would need a supression mechanic to encourage realistic play.
I would like to have more aiming in the game TBH.
Not like hard-aiming where you aim projectiles w/o targeting.
But more skillshots. Imagine if we had more projectiles that followed a fixed path along the ground like Throw Wrench or Bolas that didn’t home in on targets and we had to aim.
That’s why I’m looking forward to Wildstar tbh, the combat looks like it will actually take some skill.

Then we’d need a stagger mechanic with melee weapons. When you are hit by a sword, you feel it.XD
because he doesn’t know it himself
play age of conan pvp if you want good pvp combat system where you also need skill in movement.
I feel like auto-facing is like allowing the players to enable the option to have aim bot or not.

I think we should be able to cry real tears when we QQ and cause enemies to slip and fall on them.
Sounds good, as soon as we get collision. Or equalize all attack times.
Dancing back and forward half an inch through the middle of someones model still isn’t skill. It is fun though :P I remember abusing the everliving kitten out of it when fighting casters on my wow warrior. When I could perma lock someone with just pummel, there’s a problem. Oh sorry, I mean, no problem, I’m just really amazing, because it was so incredibly hard to do. Took lots of ‘skill’.
In fairness, gw2 doesn’t really need it, while wow really did. GW2 never mechanically shuts you out from making sure your facing is correct when you could be attacking except for immobilise. Of course, making sure you’re facing within 180 degrees of your target still isn’t skill either, unless you’re really kittening bad at games, so it’s just kind of a way to help bad players stomp hopeless players, and increase the effect latency has on performance.

I disagree, I like autofacing.
Yeah, there’s lots of ways to add skill to the game, I don’t really care for this one. I like the current system just fine.
I’ve always kept moving when playing and after 3k hours I only just learned about autofacing yesterday. I can’t believe that, kitten is incredibly easy and takes a lot of the motion out of the game. Ditch it.
really bad engineer
reason 1: if you outplay your opponent with smart positioning you should gain advantage, something currently negated by autofacing
reason 2: you can turn while immobilized thanks to autofacing and this is just plainly nonsense
