What will happen to players who have sold the skin? Will they forever lose the chance to get it? It’s possible that some who have sold it were planning to get it back someday.

There isn’t a very good history of accurate tooltips for this game.

So, do I get my money back for my list orders? I lost 13g from you guys cancelling my existing sell orders.

I thought I would be able to access it some other time once I sold it. So now I can’t get one at all? What can I do about this?

To be fair, champ bags are account bound too. Doesn’t mean what’s inside is. And the reward track shows a balthazar backpack BOX. For that matter, most of the rewards are account bound boxes that contain bound and non-bound junk.

Darn now I have two. I bought one off the tp, and the other I earned I was saving for later to make a profit.

Guys are really on a roll with this patch, (megaserver is horrid) thanks for costing myself and countless others upwards of 50g. Last time I purchase gems pre-patch…..or in general.

Haha awesome, you don’t always win when you play the trading post. It seemed fairly obvious the back piece wasn’t supposed to be sold as the track couldn’t be repeated. It will be interesting to see if Anet reimburses people.

It wasn’t obvious at all. You can’t repeat a few components of legendary items on the same character, yet you can still sell the final product on the trading post.

There is a huge difference between something being achievable once per account and once per character. World completion for gifts of exploration can be repeated on an account as many times as you please as long as you have the character slots and willingness to do so.

The reward tracks were added so people could achieve items that were previously PvE only, through planing PvP. I just assumed that the Balthazar skin worked the same way: you could obtain it in PvE without playing PvP. “Play as you want”, and all. So no, it wasn’t obvious.

Shame for those who lost out.

There would of course be ways to give people who finished the reward track the skin back, but those who spent a bunch of gold…. probably not getting any compensation.

I recommend you send a ticket to support if you lost your only chance to ever get a balthazaar backpiece.

As for buying multiples… I’m not sure if they can help you on that, but it’s worth the try.

The fires of balthazar are still on tp, i bought 1 after the patch , nothing seems changed…

If u type on search bar “fires of balthazar” u cant find it , but if u type “fire of balthazar” will pop up

Me too via TP history, I think we bugged it. I lost 12G on this business.
It’s a good time to buy and resell at ~100g people will now panic buy, it was for 42g not that long ago and now it’s for 50!

It’s not really removed from the tp just yet. If you type in Balthazar in the tp and if it not there you can press the search button again, if its not there you spam it until it shows the back piece skin
